I hear Walmart quit selling AR's as well, and Academy is caving on mags. Mesquite store still had hi-cap AR15 mags on shelf as of 1 hour ago.

That is crazy if all these companies are going to quit selling these items.
I wonder if Wal-Mart is going to quit selling alcohol too....more people are killed from alcohol related deaths in the U.S. each year than from gun related deaths.

The only thing that makes sense to me is they can't keep up with online sales demand, since they still will sell in store.
Personally I wouldn't buy from them anyway due to the price gouging

Academy has also pulled ARs from their shelves.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I heard they were pulling them from the shelves, putting them in boxes and taking them to the back.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I read that as well, WalMart, dicks sporting goods, academy, etc. The news even said the parent company of Bushmaster has put them up for sale.

Yep academy is selling only what's on the shelf and never again according to a man complaining he was hung up on by the corporate office when he asked about ARs and called a local store to be told they had three left come get em before they're gone

At this rate, there need not be any gun control legislation. Manufacturers and retailers are doing a pretty good job, by themselves.

Bet it's temp only, they are making a killing on Pmags @ 60 a pop and $900/1000 M855's surplus or seconds. Cheaper Than Dirt! has temporarily suspended online sales of firearms.
As a long time supporter of the Second Amendment, Cheaper Than Dirt! will continue to promote the safe and responsible use of firearms by law abiding customers. During this temporary suspension, we will review our policies and promotions. Their prices on ammo and pmags have come down too..

This is getting stupid. The dude in China same day carved up a bunch of kids in a school, it doesn't matter what they have if they want to do evil they will. Why we, a bunch of law abiding citizens, should be punished for the actions of a crazed psychopath is beyond me.

Why we, a bunch of law abiding citizens, should be punished for the actions of a crazed psychopath is beyond me. IT HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE PROBLEM. AFRAID TO ADMIT THEY MESSED UP AND HAVE NOT ADDRESSED MENTAL ILLNESS IN THE U.S.A. DENIAL AND LAY BLAME SOMEWHERE ELSE CIGARETTES CAUSE CANCER AND LUNG PROBLEMS. THE HI COURTS WENT AFTER THEM AND WON MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR STATES TO USE IN HEALTH CARE. THEY NEVER ONCE BLAMED THE PERSON AT THE BUTT END SUCKING ON THE COFFIN NAIL AND LIT THE FRONT END. IT WAS THE TOBACCO COMPANIES FAULT! PEOPLE MUST LEARN TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND BE PREPARED FOR THE CONSEQUENCES, SANE OR INSANE! Sorry for screaming, wife left the caps lock on and I was not about to retype it all.

Something else to think about. All the guns that are being pulled from the shelf could be stored for sale at a later date after the gun ban. These would be new Pre Ban guns and would be worth a lot more. Of course this could backfire if the new ban is not the same as the old one. Its still crappy that CTD is doing what they are doing.

This most certainly is based with online sales because I stopped by the McKinney store tonight around 6:30pm just to look at the pandemonium and they were selling AR's to a lineup of customers one after another.
