The new lease we looked at today has lots of the big red ant beds around so hopefully we'll get to see some of these cool little critters in the wild again.

Was it pesticides that killed them? I have read that fire ants depradation of harvester ants (which is a staple in the toads diet) that did them in????

I havent seen a horned toad or a harvester ant in 20 years!

I have seen about 8 or 10 this year in frio county, but I've never seen a baby, cool.
