As much as I absolutely love deer hunting. You can hunt them hogs all year long!!!!!!!!!!

Deer for me, although I would love to do a hog hunt.

Hogs, no doubt about it. Hunt all year, kill as many as I want, much easier to get permission to hunt, often get to hunt free, and in general easier to give away the extra meat. I'd say they are about equal on taste.

pretty much my sentiments. for about 5 years after we did some serious trapping,we didn't see one for two years, i did begin to miss them, but when i saw 30 this past year under my feeder i remember'd why i had such a disdain for them in the first place

I used to like to deer hunt a lot, but it's lost a lot of luster for me in the last few years. How old is this one, what did that one score, is this one a cull blah, blah, blah. I still enjoy deer hunting because I like to take my son with me and it's a chance to get something besides hogs in the freezer. I really like to hunt with my bow. I would rather shoot hogs than deer and I'd rather catch hogs with my dogs than do either.

Love deer hunting with a passion, but hog hunting can get fun as well, going night vision and get to empty out a clip on a AR with them

Id say deer but when it's not deer season killin hogs is where its at.

i joined a "deer" lease to hunt hogs. lease gets too crowded during deer season but i tried hunting deer but never saw any except after sunset. been going strong hog hunting since deer season ended and it is almost time for a break and let the deer hunter have it for a couple of months. at that time it will be bullred season and fixing and build new things til the deer hunters turn off their feeder and call it a season.

I have not had any hogs to shoot in the last 8 years now. But I have had deer every year I have hunted. Plus I can scout, look for sheds, take pics/video, run trail cameras and hunt. All of these I do year round in the right season.

Only hunt hogs once or twice a year and I am fortunate to have great deer very close (one stand 200 yds from my house). I like both, but am into shed hunting, scouting, and running cams. I'd be hard pressed to give up deer hunting!!!!

hogs only to do my part in trying to eradicate the darn things. Deer need to be taken care of and cultivated.

It's funny because I know 5 or 6 avid deer hunters with leases and everytime I mention hog hunting they lose interest. Most of them have their feeders setup to protect the corn from hogs and really don't care much about hunting them.

That's why I was curious to see everyone's priority between deer and hogs. If there was a "both" option most hunters would choose it because they just like to hunt.

Hard one, I would rather hunt hogs here in TX and go back to NC for two weeks and hunt deer.
