I really like the traditional Mexican jerky you can get at Prasek’s. Sure wish I had that recipe.

Bucces bohemian garlic or steak house. Gotta be fresh not the bagged stuff. No lies detected. Honestly, I like my own deer jerky better, though.

The regular cut from Garvens store.
Pricey as hell but delicious

Prefer my own Venison Jerky first, then Old Trapper (peppered) after that.

I haven`t bought jerky since the 80`s. Started making it by hanging it with toothpicks in the oven and then graduated to a dehydrator when I started making some real money . Finally hit the lottery and now I use my RecTec pellet smoker for the best jerky ever.

Old Trapper Hot & Spicy or Black Pepper is my go-to. same. My buddy Doug's is better but harder to get.

IMO most of the big-name store-bought SUCK. No man’s land is almost tolerable - that’s about my base level. I either make my own with Hi Mountain jerky kits and thinly sliced rump roast or buy high-end like Jackson Bros in Post, TX.
