Some years back, our county judge wanted a stock law , where the rancher was liable, he got voted out and then didn’t want to give up his position.
He was a democrat.
I think that was late eighties early nineties?

Being State highway 80 and many accidents I’d assume the rancher is at fault. Now to get a lawyer…..

Heck i would call a lot of streets around dfw area highways, some city streets are 8 lanes.

It’s a 4 lane hwy, known as Hwy 80.

Hwy 80? With repeated escaping cattle? Rancher's fault. Care to let us know which part? I'll be extra mindful when I'm on my way to visit my dad.

Owner on the N or S side? Seen them out there several times - think they came from the pipe fence place? Pretty sure I know exactly who you're talking about if so.

I see them out frequently just E of Elmo too - probably more frequently actually.

Can't blame a person for trying ta make things Safer.

Back in 90's, on way ta OSBWMA on a hog hunt.
Fm road their was several horses out on road. Stopped made sure they were back inside fence.
Stopped @ few places ta try find out who's horses, ta let him know fence down & they were on road.
Anyways, not sure if related. Had an officer stop by place. Asked if was around the area on certain day.
Said, ya. On way ta a hog hunt.
He said person reported, i had altercation, & reported my plates.
Only talked ta one person, guy @ house that tried ta find out who owned horses. Let him know fence down.
Explained it ta officer, & told him ,No alteration took place. & asked for persons name .
Then heard on his mic, is every thing okay, you need support?
They were listening in.
He told them everything okay.
Very respectful officer. We talked, he asked what I used on hog hunts.
Told him AR. He showed me his AR that he used on hog hunts.
AGAIN, very respectful officer. He apologized for time. Told him he just doing his job, no hard feelings.

Later seen guys working on the fence.
Worked on ranches, Dakota's/Col., road fence lines, fixed em.
Roads, might be half a day b4 a pick up drove bye, on a good day.

Several times here, @ night on gravel roads came alone cows in road,
Always try find out who's & help put em in.
Safety.

No one will admit to ownership of the cow.
