I've shared camp with all of the above...one reason I bought my own place.

Another forgotten one is bad gut Bob. Loves to sneak in that "silent one" on the coldest and rainy nights that clears the bunkhouse. He also volunteers to drop off folks at their blinds and locks the windows on the way there. I'm afraid I'm a little bit in this one too.....it's just a little natural gas..

Fix it Frank...I hunted with a couple of these guys and it was a pleasure. They could build or fix anything.

How about Dick the dictator-owns the ranch and makes all the rules. You don't like them, go hunt somewhere else.
I would fall into this category, although it would be John the dictator...with a 😃 Don't most just call this guy the land owner?

"The Ghost". Guy that pays every year, NEVER shows up. Love this guy. Growing up we had a ghost member on the lease my dad had. He only paid to be on the lease so he could tell his wife he was going hunting. In recent years we had a few ghost members that had more $ than time and just never showed up. Love the ghost member.

"lucky little brother" Usually doesn't build a stand, rarely fills feeders. Shows up with a 12 pack of beer, a borrowed rifle sits in your stand and kills deer every year.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

I used to love the Ghost guy. I would actually try to recruit them. Pay but hardly show up is theoretically good, it would seem. They rarely do any work but they rarely hunt either so thats usually a good tradeoff. What sometimes ends up happening is they will eventually kill something and it is usually not a deer you would want killed. These "mistakes" stem from the fact that if they dont take hunting serious enough to show up often then they dont take it serious enough to learn how to age/score etc. They often arent around enough to really understand all the little rules and will inadvertently break one.

Don't forget Wreck It Ralph, or as he's sometimes known, the pet coon. The pet coon can break, destroy, screw up or otherwise cause any object it touches to become unusable. You can lock the pet coon in a padded room with two bowling balls, come back an hour later and one ball will be broken and the other missing and the pet coon doesn't know anything about either one.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Yeah, the guy that borrows something of yours, breaks it, then just gives you a dull stare and tells you "It broke" without the faintest notion to offer to replace it for you. You're suppose to do for him, never him for you.

We had a "Clockwork Orange" guy - bow hunter that couldn't remember whether it was "Spring forward" or "Fall backward" regarding sun up and when the feeders go off. I just happened to be out there, getting things ready. I'm an early riser. It was a hoot to watch...sweating his cojones off in a pop-up blind. 'Came back looking like a drowned rat.

I'll Pay You Back Bob - Always needs you to pick something up for him with the promise he'll pay you back later but never does until you ask him for your money. Often so damn tight with his money he squeaks when he walks. Also known for asking others to fill his feeder with the comment, yes, you guessed it, "I'll pay you back."
Hen Pecked Henry - Tries to make up for his wife wearing the pants in the family by doing his best to be the camp boss.

Had one called "bull**t Brian" he was the camp exaggerator, came up with the craziest stuff and just knew everything about everything. Hate to call the guy a habitual liar but he definitely stretched facts!
New guy shows up with a 6MM Remington. BB tells him that cartridge is only good for 100yds. BB claimed he had one (he has owned every rifle you know) and he tried to shoot a doe at 150 yards and the bullet kicked up dust about halfway to the doe. BB had the poor buy convinced he needed a 7mm mag. Fortunately some of the saner members of the group told the guy his 6mm was just fine.
This was a hunting club in deep East Texas, so we always wondered where BB had a 150 yard shot and where he was seeing this dust (we all had 75yd or less shots and pine needle covered ground) Also, BB saw several deer EVERY time he went out...mind you East Texas where you can go all season without seeing anything!

This is me, except he is my big brother. Love him to death but I do the work and he shoots the deer.

Since I own my own properties, I can pick the characters, no more leases for me. Most are family and friends I let hunt. I don’t charge, very few complaints that way..lol.
