1 shot 1 bird. The only one that we saw in range, mojo and all.

I got out to the fields late but I ran into Team Hillbilly by accident and we sat and had a chat and last minute I did get one bird to take home so it was a great evening!

I got 11 this evening. I was disappointed that I didn't see more bird's flying. Wish my place was a little closer to town where they are covered up in whitewing.

I killed one with my first shot then my shooting went all to hell. Ended up with 2 and my gf got 1. Saw plenty just couldn't connect.

How many boxes you shoot.

I shot 12 shells, the gf shot 14 shells.

That's is why we started shooting sporting clays about 2 months ago. Only used a alittle over a box for 13 dove.

Some guys did that to me a couple of years ago around Haskell. They sat down in the field directly in front of me. Out of about 1,000 acres, they decided they had to sit directly in front of me. I already had a narrow shooting lane because of other hunters that sat near me. These guys reduced it down to nearly nothing. I just kept shooting as if they weren't there. Everytime I'd hit them, they'd holler. Finally, one hollered "Hey, you're hitting us". I replied "Hey, move". And they did.

Pretty easy limit yesterday. I used two dove mojos and had dove decoy into them several times. I shot a couple about 4 feet off the ground as they were about to land next to my mojos.

For you shot counters my first four shots of the day produced four dove. I think I missed my next one so pretty much that's all the counting I would ever do. To me it's about the dove in the bag...you can always go out and buy more shells.

Killed seven on the morning hunt and quit to finish up in the evening, assuming the afternoon would be even better. FAIL. It was slower in the afternoon. I still managed to scratch out six more, but it took three hours to do it. By seven o'clock, the birds were done in the field we were hunting. Between four guys, we wound up with 44 birds for the day between the morning and afternoon hunts.

Well we had a group of 8 guys, six of us limited including myself. It was a decent evening for us.

I only shot at 5 birds and got 3 of them. We just don't have the #'s yet.

We hunted in Blum and had 65 birds Between 5 of us. All in the last hour of the day on a pond.

Was in a group of 10-12 people and we shot well over 100 birds (I did get my limit). First time out dove hunting and had a blast. Will do it again very soon.

Afternoon hunt only, I and at least one other hunter "should" have had our limit or close to it, but we were both shootin' like newbies. 6 birds in my bag, 9 in his.
Other guys hung around the trucks, and had minor success.
We did see several large groups of whitewings, lots more than before. This just west of Bryan.

it was a slow start for me at first yesterday afternoon. 2 in 1 hour!!!! then, we changed spots and all 3 of us limited out on public land, if you can believe that. had them in about an hour or so. we found a honey hole!

only my third time to ever hunt dove, but I did get 2. Went thru a box and half of shells, either they were a little out of range or 'my gun was bent' .

I'm pretty sure I would have gotten -0- without a mojo. Most of the birds that came near were flying on the edges of the property I was on - I stayed on one edge next to a big tree, with the mojo about 25 yards in front of me.

At least twice I pulled the trigger on a 'sure close shot' only to hear 'click' (dummy me forgot to eject the empty shell - pump shotgun).

Oh well - I'm learning and I had fun!

Water was the key. Three of us hunted a half dry stock tank yesterday evening in Burnet Co. 3 Limits in about an hour and a half. The birds were coming in so fast we couldn't keep loaded. We could have limited faster, but we were all shaking off the rust!

Saw more hunters than birds. My son and I ended up with a total of seven but it was a mixed bag: 2 white wing, 1 Urasian collard and 4 regular. Also had two different game wardens check us. They caught a guy close to us shooting after leagal. Took his gun from him and were writing him up. Guy didn't look too happy. Knucklehead...

Drove 2 hrs. to hunt near Mineral Wells, shot 6.

I had one rattling around in my bird bag that I should have wrung his neck. I was kind of giggling, thinking you ain't going anywhere buddy.

Then I shifted in my chair and he jumped out of my bird bag onto the ground. When I reached down to grab him, he took off flying.

I then proceeded to shoot behind him twice and look for him in the sunflowers for the next 15 minutes. Never found him.
