...a person or firm that can help liquidate a huge collection of furniture and antiques?
Back story - A very nice older lady in our community recently passed away. She had no children and no living siblings to leave her property to, so in her will she left everything to her four nephews. There is a 4000 square foot house sitting on about 250 acres. The house and land aren't a problem, but the contents of the house are. Every room in this house is literally crammed from wall to wall with some really nice older furniture and more antiques than you can count. And a lot of it is high end stuff that she paid thousand's for years ago. I need to hook these four brothers up with someone reputable that knows what they're doing, both in appraising the value of the objects and in arranging to get them sold. Does anyone have a recommendation on who to contact for this type of thing?
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

When I sold on Ebay , they had a feature called, "What's it Worth." All you had to do was include a photo, and you could get an idea of what it might bring. It was free back then, but that was years ago and things have probably changed. Be sure and look the furniture over for the name of the maker. That could make a difference in value.

Don't know any in that area. There are companies that come in and do turn key estate clearances for a percentage of the proceeds. Research Estate Sale auctions in your area.

I think I remember Mr T saying he dabbled in this type of stuff...PM him and see if he can assist.

Don't know any in that area. There are companies that come in and do turn key estate clearances for a percentage of the proceeds. Research Estate Sale auctions in your area. This is the way to go, they come in and sort through the stuff and price and hold a sale. The better dealers have good advertising and have a good following of buyers. Our local guy retired, but I will trying to get a contact for the Gatesville area. Added On Edit: Check out this site. https://www.estatesales.net/companies/TX/Gatesville/76528?force-reload=trueI nor my local person have no info n these. Still waiting on one other reply.
