The following Monday she wakes up sick and tests positive for Covid. Did she get sick from the vaccine? Who knows but you can’t overlook the possibility.

first of all, it is physically impossible to get covid from the covid vaccines since none of them use live covid virus in their vaccinations.
secondly, the latency period of covid is about 4-6 days, so chances are she "got" covid either sometime tuesday thru thursday to come down positive monday. If the vaccine "caused her covid" she wouldn't have turned positive until tuesday or later, but that isn't possible because the J&J is an adenovirus vector to trick the body to create spike protein and not live virus.
so yes, the possibility can be overlooked pretty easily.

need to look at that. Severe case may be a deal breaker as most people don't have severe cases.

Edit: looked at the study, and while it is important information it does leave a lot lacking (not by their own fault, just the study design). Mainly the inclusion criteria left off all but the sicker patients, so we are dealing with a small subset of covid positive patients in this study. Nor does it deal with asymptomatic positives of which we know from prior studies is about 4-10 times the actual number of tested positives. So this subset of patients studied is really about 2.5-1% of total covid survivors (their selection states they got 9100 patients out of 110K possible due to the need for serial serological testing, and then extrapolate that down another 4-10X for prior randomized antibody sampling studies to get there).

Despite the rate of reinfection being 63 out of 9000, and only 2 of the 63 going on to die, they still strongly suggested that covid positive patients follow all the strict european and american cdc guidelines to prevent spread. That statement makes me think the authors have some bias. I might be reading into that, but it seems odd to suggest strict guidelines for what amounts to 2 out of 9000 dying (0.0002%), and that is from the sick group of positives.

All good points, but it's impossible to quantify asymptomatic positives since most don't get tested.

Bottom line.....reinfection is rare, even more rare than vaxed infections, and odds of dying are basically zero.

Totally agree. Thats what took me back a little reading their conclusion...2/9000 died from reinfection. And this was the sicker people not the mild cases. So we know the risk of dying from reinfection are really low. Really low. Why isn't this being broadcast aloud for everyone to hear?

Well, the main reason, IMO....it would discourage those who have had infections from getting vaxed, and that goes against CDC narrative. Unfortunately, fear sells, and in this case the "sell" is Billions of dollars in vaccines.

I've had it and I'm good.

My little brother has never had it, but he decided to go ahead and get vaccinated (long story). First shot no big deal. He got his second shot on Friday and has been in severe pain and in bed ever since, he is in a bind right now with extreme back pain. It's a chore for him to get out of bed to piss. I have never seen him like this. He can't even take his kids to school. Can't even bend over enough to brush his teeth because of the pain. There is no exaggeration here.

He's the last brother I have left, though we've had our differences I have spent the majority of my life looking out for him/protecting him. I am worried about him right now, and so are his kids.

He was fine before injecting this [censored] into his body.

I hope tomorrow is better.

My sis got one of the Jabs down in Dallas, I do not know which and her husband did not. She got it it and sucked but he was not that bad off having it. Just tired was his main complaint.

good insight here...

https://fortune.com/2021/08/27/covid-natural-immunity-vaccine-delta-variant-pfizer-protection/

"Those with previous COVID infections may be less likely to catch Delta than those vaccinated with Pfizer
The conclusion comes from the largest real-world analysis comparing natural immunity to the vaccines."

I've been hearing this for a while. Something to the effect that the vaccine tries to defeat the virus one way, while the natural process attracts it 4 different ways.

I talked to him today and he's doing better, but still sick. He said it hasn't been as bad this time as it was the first time, but still not a walk in the park.

Now THAT is info that we can use!

Such a shame one had to dig so deep to get it.

I can attest to this. I'm one of those guys that often catches whatever viruses are floating around and my wife, who is a nurse, rarely catches anything. I guess this is just a case of bad genes (not to be confused with bad/bedazzled jeans like 2Beez or KRoyal).

To the OP's question, I caught covid Oct 2020 and was the sickest I've ever been. Was nonfunctional for 2 plus weeks and did not feel normal for 6-8 weeks. I likely had covid again several weeks ago but only experienced severe headache, chills, sore throat and fatigue for 5 days. I did not loose sense of taste or smell this second time around and would guestimate I was only 25% as sick as the first time.

I have not had any of the vaccines.

Had it in December, have been in very close contact with multiple people that did not have the original but got the Delta, didn't get it a second time so far on either occasion.
