Nursing. However, she'd be over qualified as an RN working in a single physician office.

There are a bunch of jobs in nursing that are low stress, and there are a bunch that are high stress. Be a staff nurse providing direct patient care in a big hospital for a year and less stressful opportunities will open up. As a former teacher with an education background she would be a great candidate as a Nurse Educator. Google it. Also, school nurse, great candidate.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

this is a great point and right on. She's an only child and as most of you know she is Daddy's little girl, spoiled ? I have done a bad thing not forcing her to "figure it out" I've always done stuff for her. I have really messed this up. My GF ate my azz about it too. Love is blind.

She has taught 2nd grade for 6 years. I have mentioned to her about getting her Masters and go into counseling, GOD know these young kids are having to grow up so fast in a F'ed up world. She has great repour with her Admin people and her Team.

She is pretty "dainty" I suggested a Game Warden but she would never pass the physical part of it or Fire Fighter either.

I do see SO many Tech jobs everywhere and nursing but she passes out when she see's a needle.

Great ideas thanks

Especially in security. And never ending education - whether it's on your own (which is an unspoken necessity) or funded by your employer. Otherwise, you'll be left behind.

To get an idea just how hot tech is right now look at the job listings in the Sunday paper.

Tell her to consider becoming a school librarian. Best job in the district by far. Only stress is what you put upon yourself.
She will have to go back to school and get a masters in library science, but can get a certificate after only six hours to be
hired as a school librarian. Which she could easily take in the summer. It can be done, I know I because I went back to
school when I was 50 and just burnt out on teaching.
Without question, the best decision I ever made. I'm 71 now and still teaching as a librarian because I love it so much.
If she decides to leave teaching, tell her NOT to with draw her retirement. Put your foot down on that one. Put it down
hard if you have to. She will thank you when she turns 65.

Do not and I repeat do not take any advice from anyone who tells you to "look at the listings in the Sunday paper."

That was the problem when I was working, you couldn't get away from it. Supporting a sales team with technical issues I owned the problem till resolved. Midday Sunday I'd start thinking about going back into the firefight Monday morning. High stress and high rewards but 40 years of that has taken it's toll on me.

Send her to Cosmetology school....I have a friend that's been doing it a little over 20 years...she makes more than your daughter is wanting, and I don't know of any stressed out cosmetologists, well, unless it's something at their home that's stressing 'em.

This...a good Cosmetologist can get a job anywhere. You can pack up and move anywhere in The State Of Texas and have a job 5 minutes after you get there.

You very seldom hear about unemployed Cosmetologists, and the school is only 9 months.

How many acres do you have?

https://www.ketk.com/news/special-reports/thursday-at-10-how-east-texans-are-cashing-in-on-hemp/

https://www.ketk.com/news/top-stori...ts-of-hemp-encourages-potential-growers/

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The Texas Legislature passed House Bill 1325 last April, legalizing hemp crops and products in Texas, and Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill into law last June.

Despite this, it is still not legal to grow hemp in Texas – yet.

On Saturday, a Texas hemp growers group hosted a conference in Tyler to educate prospective hemp farmers and others interested in the subject on where, exactly, matters stand in regard to this crop and its products and what still remains to be done.

Zachary Maxwell, president of Texas Hemp Growers, spoke at the conference.

He told those attending that while hemp products, such as CBD oil, are legal to sell and to possess, the crop that produces them, hemp, still isn’t quite legal to grow. Texas still has to establish a federally approved program for farmers to grow hemp as an industrial crop, including procedures for sampling, inspection and testing, and submit that plan to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Maxwell said he hoped Saturday’s meeting helped convince potential hemp farmers to remain excited about and invested in the benefits the crop will offer once it is legal.

“It’s my hope with this class we shake some people awake,” Maxwell said. “The serious folks are going come out of this class, they’re going to be excited, they’re going to be ready to get started. With hemp right now you just have all this excitement due to that profit potential, and it is there, if you do it well and you do it right.”

Maxwell went on to say if hemp farmers do it well and do it right, they could potentially net $10,000-$15,000 per acre.

And while growing hemp promises an economic advantage, Maxwell said the crop and its products also offer health benefits.

More than 100 people attended the conference.

One shot is all it should take.

She may also look at support staff positions at local universities...if she were to get on with a state university, her retirement could stay on track.
