Last year we got a quote for an in ceiling air return in our master bedroom to balance out the house. The price was around $3,000. Very easy attic access, and should be an easy job. Does the price of $3,000 sound right?

How far is the air handler from your master bedroom?
Sounds very high to me. Question is whether it's very high, or very, very high.

How far is the air handler from your master bedroom?
Sounds very high to me. Question is whether it's very high, or very, very high. 30 feet maybe 40

3k sounds high. I had a new return and duct work done in my last house in the colony and it was less than 1k

Why too high. We’re having 3 bedrooms done with 8” returns installed this Monday for under $600.

I am a commercial hvac installer. Sounds very very high. Even if it takes 2 bags of flex I would def get another quote.

That sounds high. I don"t know what size the flex duct is, what type return gril, ceiling height but still sounds high. I'm still furloughed but if you want just PM me and I'll give you the shops number and we can give you a quote and taken care of ASAP. We are based over in Seagoville so real close to you.
