Saw 4 bucks over the weekend in Nacogdoches Co that still had horns.. I'm happy, I thought one of them may have been in someone's freezer, but he survived.

As if 3/7/08 deer in Bell Co still carryin antlers. One deer was slickheaded but majority of bucks I saw had both sides still holdin strong.

Look to late march for a real drop. Could go well into April this year!

Latest Ive ever seen!

Me and my son jumped a group of bucks yesterday evening on the border of Tarrant and Wise, and of the eight only one had dropped one side. Skinner

In the Junction area they are just starting to drop. 3 weeks from now they will be off.

my place is in Carbon (south of Eastland) I dont have a single buck on our place with antlers now. Matter of fact on 3-4-09 had 5 bucks on feeder cam with one or two antlers...on 3-5-09 everyone of them had none. The antler fairy must have come by that night and took them all....LOL

Found 10 sheds in Coke co. this weekend. Mid March seems to be the time on our place.

I'm in Bell county, majority of bucks have now lost their horns here. Just saw two together on the way home, one had both sides the other buck had neither. The one with both sides is the first buck I've seen with both sides in a while, see one here and there with one horn, but even they are getting rare.

Got these pictures off my game camera in western Blanco County last weekend.

Feb 22nd

Feb 26th

I've had a game camera up at this location for at least 18 months and this is the first time I've seen this guy. He was never around during the season. I've nicknamed him "Mr. February".

After I loaded the pictures in camp, one of my lease partner's 13 year old went looking for sheds and found this buck's shed just outside the feeder pen. Needless to say he can't wait for deer season next year!
