In one of the other pastures there was a hole about 50 feet in diameter and about 10-15 feet deep. If you got the right angle you could see that it went back aways, maybe some type of cave system. Being only about 20 or 30 miles as the crow flies from Carlsbad Caverns we wondered if it was connected.

that would be an interesting crawl.

Not nearly as cool as most others' finds but I thought it was really neat. A skunk. Not like any skunk I had ever seen... was basically white with a little bit of black. Sprayed and smelled just the same though.

I just found a heavy duty aluminum ladder that evidently got carried down the creek in the flooding this spring. I didn't have time to grab it when I found it, gonna go back and try to find it again and bring it home.

I found an indian stone scraping tool. I was walking to check a feeder and tripped over it in high grass. I knew it wasn't natural as soon as I saw it. It had rained recently, so I guess that brought it to the surface. I keep it on my desk at work.

I also found a pint sized whiskey bottle at a different spot. When I looked up the markings on the glass it came from the early 1940s.

Found 100 pounds of marijuana duct taped together in bricks made into a homemade pack with ropes. On lease outside Sanderson. That was fun call to border patrol

Found a big cave in a cactus pile while trailing a deer. Hole was barely big enough to fit through but it was as big as a house inside. I took a couple of staglagtites about 6 feet long and 4 inches diameter. When I went back to the cave 2 years later they had grown back. And I thought it was supposed to take millions of years? They said that at Carlsbad.

I also found a small waterfall in a dry gulch that was about 8 feet high. It only ran during a rain but at the bottom was a little rock basin carved out by the water and in it was a rock carved out round by the water. It is a perfect sphere about the size of a softball. I still have it. The ranch is near Cline where I found it in a very remote mountainside.

I finally found an arrowhead on Friday. Then I lost it when I pulled my hat out of my pocket!!! We went back to look for it and a buddy found his first. I was not so lucky. Mine was a perfect specimen.

Keep searching in that same area. You'll be surprised on what you find.
