Very sorry to hear that, and very sorry for your loss. That's tough...you're in our thoughts and prayers. I like the thought mentioned above, that God had some ducks he needed retrieved. She's a Lab, remember the great retrieves and hunts for sure, but don't forget the moments of pure goofiness she surely showed you. They'll make you laugh through your tears, I'm sure. I wish you all the best and, again, we're so sorry for your loss.

We've lost a lot of 4 legged family members, wept for all of them and will weep for the last one We have. Little Siamese cat that we've had almost 18yrs. Hang in there. Lots of prayers.

Beautiful stuff there Brown Duck and the character on Toby's face is one for the ages. Its tough putting down a family member. You will think about her often and she will always be there with you.

Time will heal my friend. Thank you for sharing !

Yes I agree it is hard and we all know we will share the same common pain as well when its our turn...but then we know that the very day we bring the pups home and into our lives and families too....its worth it,is it not...I've oft said G-d was gonna add a few more angels to his line up ,but decide to make dogs instead! angel

I feel the pain you're going through during this difficult time. Many of us on this site have been right where you are and know first hand how it hurts. I pray Gods speed in healing your heart.

Thank you all for the kind words. Below is a picture of my son and Toby on her last night

Quackshack. I think Toby is still hiding the band from that missing duck that day.

Evan, Toby was a good one, I enjoyed hunting with her. I am sorry for your loss.

As you know Rowdy passed January 1, this year at the age of 14 and it's still not easy. He still rides in the truck with me every day.

Who knows maybe Rowdy and her are sitting on the river bank at the waters edge, enjoying the sunrise.

God Bless.

Looking at that picture, I can't imagine life without a dog!
Damn allergies, making my eyes water.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

I'm so sorry for your loss. We are dealing with some health issues with my oldest, 'Paluxy'. Just remember how much joy Toby brought to your family angel
