I used to have the weatherby SA-08 12GA as well. Cost me too much to dove hunt with; it would only eject the heavier shot shells (hi brass).

Nothing, as I don't want to fight the madness on Monday. Later in season for me with a 12gauge Benelli Montefeltro.

Total faith in the Maxus. It has been fantastic the last two seasons for both dove and duck....

...just sometimes Murphy peaks in on me....or more often, someone shooting with me.

It comes with two pistons. One for light loads and one for heavy loads. The light load pistons will eject everything. I've put over 1,000 rounds through mine. If you've got the heavy piston in and you're shooting light loads then you've effectively got a single shot.

Lol...exactly. I shoot the same whether it is a 40 year old $180 Remington 1100 or a $1500 Browning O/U.

Looks like I'll be toting my old .410 pump because I'm taking a friend hunting (his first time ever) and I'll let him use my 16 gauge.

Since I pussed out on shooting the un-fired '68 A5 Light 12 on the skeet range, I'll be carrying either a well used '53 A-5 Light 12 or an A-5 20g from '52.

Browning didn't make a Auto 5 Twenty till 1958. You better take the '53 light twelve.

Well Remington made 'em for them, it's a 1943 "American Browning" 20g. My mistake.

No love for the16 I guess.

A5 16ga. About 1950. One of the first post war Belgian models and one the last of the safety in the front of the trigger guard.

Serious dub medicine.

Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.
