Usually a Ruger Bearcat .22LR. It's small and lightweight.

Like many others have posted; I generally don't carry a sidearm when hunting in the winter. There just isn't much out there and not many places for critters to hide. I'll save the weight for a couple extra hand warmers.
Kicking around in the bush during the rest of the year is a completely different story. I've been toting an FNP45. However, I've been thinking about a 4" 357 or maybe even 22TCM.

Judge loaded 50/50 with .410 bird shot and .45 LC. Covers all my field needs which are primarily snake and hog dispatching.

Much of the time none. In snake country I will either carry my .38 with snake shot or my Buckmark .22. If I'm out at night I like the Buckmark for popping coons as well.
