Your situation you are referring to was that a factory rifle wouldn't or couldn't shoot well unbedded. Which is far from the truth.

Really? Guess again the inlet for the aftermarket would be akin to any manufacturers stock. Who do you think makes Winchester EW stocks? B&C. If someone buys the aftermarket from B&C they should bed it but not if purchased from Winchester don't bed it.

You surely don't have a clue what you are talking about. Get up to speed before you pop off and post drivel or flat out bs.

Fixt.

Be sure not to peek just on the off chance you're proven wrong time and again. I won't reciprocate as the entertainment value is epic.

For those that care to know. Here is why you bed and why it's not advisable t have a barreled action resting on pillars. The rifle is a Kimber 84L in .280AI.

Factory beddng sitting n pillars and a loose lug fit:

After bedding:

All from a 7.5lb wood stocked rifle (as it sits) that does not change POI regardless of the weather or when I use a sling which is 99% of the time. This'll be the last time I post groups as I'm sure the quintuplets will say it's not possible, unnecessary and not my rig (or some such).

Not trying to argue, but I believe it is actually hot glue, not epoxy. rifle Just trying to keep the record straight. Besides, would take too long for even fast drying epoxy to cure. clap

The hot glue was on the NH models. The SC FNs use epoxy.

Hell maybe I was. eek

In any event the FNs are skookum rigs. Have had several FN Featherweights that I eventually sold to pay for kids schooling. Still have an EW in 30-06 and a SC 7x57. It's a marvelous rig that I "restocked" with a NH Grade II/III FW stock. My Dad liked it so much he made me buy him one. mad whistle

It was either buy him one or he would have absconded with yours! That is the reason your father is not allowed around my safe when it is open! roflmao
