This week has been very successful. No diet issues, got two swims and two runs in, and completed week 1 of P90X2. Down about 7 lbs so far. Hard to tell how much of that is water weight but I'm going to be optimistic and say I'm down 2-3 actual lbs.

Is anyone thinking about a scouting trip this summer?

Glad to hear it.

We've talked about a scouting trip. It's always a good idea, but it will be tough for me to make it. You might get on the elk hunting thread and see if anyone wants to plan for it.

My exercise this coming week+ is going to be going through my dad's stuff in his shop/barn and putting some in a rented dumpster, some to sell, and some to take home...doing this with my brother. Dad only passed 28 years ago. Yeah, we don't exactly deal with stuff right away. If I'm not in jail, I'll get back to exercise in a week or so. Have a Happy Easter y'all. Signing off.

I did a lot of research today, and I settled on this workout:

http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=157587143

Did part A just now. I have to improvise on some of the workouts, due to being on location instead of at a gym, but with the equipment I have thrown together in the pic below, I get pretty close to most of the workouts and exact on some. I know it's effective. I could feel a variety of muscle groups working. My body now feels like it has weights strapped to it. I can barely tap this post out on my phone. What a workout. I hated it, so it must be good.

TXtrophy told me that strength training would give me my much needed cardio. Boy was he right. I was winded as if I'd been on the elliptical, but I was also building muscle at the same. Seems much more effective than putting my focus into running/hill climbing. I will still do some purely cardio workouts, like my hill climb, but it will no longer be my main focus. I feel that's a smart move for me. I'm glad I started this thread to receive the help I need like that. I'm also thankful for y'all's participation and help. (Or maybe I hate y'all. I haven't decided yet.) I've gone from fat and lazy, to motivated but lost, to motivated, focused, and headed in the proper direction. I'm still fat, but we're solving that one day at a time.

Glad to hear that you found a workout that you can do onsite.

Good luck, keep up the good work!

I know. I'll take a rest day from this program, and I'll do some cardio.

I am. I'm not as sore as I was the second day, but I'm still sore. At least I can get around.

Sneaky, I'm sure one of the guys will send you a post card from Elk camp, just make sure to let them know the address where you are recovering from over exertion!

I know what you mean. I'd rather be in a med cot in camp, then sitting at home.

I'm hurting, but I think it's because I drank a decent amount of rum on saturday. Let myself get dehydrated and it brought on a migraine yesterday and today. bang

Wow. I've been outta the loop for a few days. Hope all y'all had a great Easter holiday! I sure did, 2 days off of school sure did some good for me.

Still sore from yesterday's workout after a long, long Saturday night. cry Just super tired during school today. Probably ate a lot of things I shouldn't have eaten yesterday at my grandma's, but it's alright.

How's y'all's Monday?

I cut back on the whiskey, but when I drink now, I do things different. Instead of adding Dr. Pepper to my Crown, I drink it straight, over ice, and I chase it with water. Probably drink at least 4 times the water as whiskey. I can't tell you the difference that made for me. I feel better while drinking, and I can't remember the last time I felt so well the next day. Hardly any side effects the next day. Huge difference. Instead of being worthless the day after, I can pick up where I left off.

Pretty good for a Monday. If frac would get their act together, we could finish this well and go home.

I do that some, too. I'm just not crazy about it.

Got in some walking this evening. Went up and down my hill six times, then around location six. I stepped it off. One lap is about a quarter mile. I get in some more laps on the next frac.

For those that are interested, here is the guy that got it all started:

Yeah, I definitely need to step it up with my water intake. I probably had 6 L yesterday alone just trying to catch up.

I have a nice break between classes today, so I'm going to take the dog for long walk, then do some cardio and core.

Does anyone have some suggestions for a late lunch? I don't have much food at home at the moment, so I'm going to have to eat out. I'd like to keep it clean with protein and plenty of veggies, but I'm drawing a blank...
