I have always wanted a shooting bench for the lease, so on Sunday I made one. The base was purchased for $29 at Lowes. The legs will fold back into unit, the leg heights are adjustable and it has a carrying handle underneath. The platform is ¾ in ply wood. I sanded it, stained it and then I applied 2 coats of varnish. Total cost is less than $50, besides it gave me something to do. Now I need to just shoot from it.

Thanks for the idea, I have one of those saw horses in the shop gathering dust.

Forgot to mention that the deck is bolted to the top of the saw horse. The saw horse already has 2 pre drilled holes in the top.

Make sure you keep your fingers out of the way when you fold that saw horse up, don't ask me how I know.
