I have always wanted a shooting bench for the lease, so on Sunday I made one. The base was purchased for $29 at Lowes. The legs will fold back into unit, the leg heights are adjustable and it has a carrying handle underneath. The platform is ¾ in ply wood. I sanded it, stained it and then I applied 2 coats of varnish. Total cost is less than $50, besides it gave me something to do. Now I need to just shoot from it.

Forgot to mention that the deck is bolted to the top of the saw horse. The saw horse already has 2 pre drilled holes in the top.

Make sure you keep your fingers out of the way when you fold that saw horse up, don't ask me how I know.

Make sure you keep your fingers out of the way when you fold that saw horse up, don't ask me how I know. I meant to say when you fold the leg out, there's a little metal thinga am jig right there that will pinch ya pretty good, I lost a thumb nail because of it. You have been warned.
