Driving my wife to the doctor yesterday and I saw a 50' extension cord laying on the shoulder. The was right before the Paloma Creek subdivision. Wife said I couldn't stop to pick it up.
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

yes north texas. Off of Hwy 380 in Denton County. Paloma Creek is a big subdivision between Denton and Frisco. Technically considered Aubrey / Little Elm area.
But yes I guess I am a road shopper. Don't want to argue, but if you consider that north Texas, then what do you call us that live in the panhandle? And it's not west Texas, bc that is the trans-Pecos/el Paso area. "Those guys up in the panhandle" .........

A long time ago when I was a young man with a wife and 3 kids + broke, I was walking across a super market parking lot and reached down and picked up a bank envelope with $300. Made my rent that month.

You're in northwest Texas.

When I was in college we "adopted" a stretch of highway and did cleanup once a year. Never fail, always found porn on the roadside.

I was driving behind some motorcycles in Central Texas (South of North Texas and long ways from the Panhandle) going down 16. They were going slower than I wanted to go, but I chose not to try to pass them, I only had about 20 miles left to go and in no big rush. Saw something shiny hanging off the back motorcycle down low on the rear fender. I couldn't really tell what it was. That's about when it came off the bike and bounced off the road a couple of times and then bounced up 9 feet into the air... headed right for my truck. I swerved a little and avoided it. Then I tried to signal the guy on the bike to let him know. I flashed the lights and he paid no attention. Honked a couple of times and still paid no attention. So I noted the mileage on the odometer to tell him if he stopped. The group stopped in the next town at a gas station so I stopped to tell the guy. At first he had no clue what I was talking about and then remembered he added some chrome thing to the bottom of the fender. He asked how far back it was. I said it was 5.9 miles back if he wanted to go find it. Apparently they were going back to look for it as I was leaving.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.
