O.k. so some good news.
Got my CT scan today and they smoked that tumor's a$$.
Final CT report shows it went from the original size of 22cm x 14 cm x 13cm down to 9cm x 9cm x 11cm
So its more than 1/2. Hell yeah. It's causing a lot of pain issues but at least the f'n thing is dying.

well today I have cancer. It really feels like it. I've had to get a unit of blood...I've thrown up twice... I'm tired after staying up 2 nites in a row.... 1600 mg of Methatrexate will do that to u in conjunction with cytarbine I feel like [censored]. Literally. Maybe because the tumor is smaller and they have not lowered the chemo dose and it's attacking other things. I still have to do 8 rounds of interthecal... They are going to drill a hole in my skull to put in a Ommaya port. That is going to suck.

Best wishes man. Such a nasty illness, keep fighting and don't lose hope. Have many friends that beat the odds and are still around, they all attribute it to their faith, doctors and maintaining a positive attitude through it all.

Oh this thread touches me big time. My father is currently fighting it. We found out late last year he had stage 4 in his nose and it had attached itself to the bone in his nose as well. The start was not good. I guess no news is good news after they say it is stage 4. He went through his surgery well but the outlook was not promising, but they said they were going to treat it with radiation every day for 35 days, then chemo following that for 40 wks. The radiation made him weak towards the end but he took that well. The chemo was a different story. He lost 34lbs the first week and then about 50 all together the two wks following. He was hospitalized for 8 of the first 14 days. For such a strong man he was melting away. All we could do is pray it would get better, along with so many prayers from friends and family. To make a long story short, today he has gone through about 7 wks of chemo. They now say there is no sign of the tumor and the following 33 treatments will be more for preventative. This roller coaster of a ride has pulled us from the lowest of lows, to the outlook being better than anyone could expect. Other than god answering our prayers, I can only say that what has helped us the most is not giving up. No matter how hard it gets, or how sick it makes you, NEVER give up. By reading the posts you can tell that the world is on your side. Keep your chin up and know that you can beat this and any other problems that may come your way. Prayers to you and your family...

By reading the posts you can tell that the world is on your side. Keep your chin up and know that you can beat this and any other problems that may come your way. Prayers to you and your family... Thanks. I'm too at that point where throwing up is now the normal. They just pour so much chemo in you ....eating is a chore and throwing up is a daily activity. I keep a double bagged trashcan next to the bed and it's now a daily routine. All my hair is gone, eyebrows, eyelashes are coming out...yup I look like I have cancer now. One thing I have learned about Oncologists. They take a person and strip them down and rebuild them back up. Just about the time you can't look or feel any worse they bring you back and hopefully cancer free. It sounds mid evil but it seems to work. I hope and pray every day I'm going to pull out but when you are sick and weak and throwing up at 4:55 am in the morning it just is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Plus all the side effects .....Pink Eye, no flavor, strips of meat hanging off the inside of your mouth, weakness, no sleep, fear, dry skin, sensitive skin....i feel like a vampire in the sun....night sweats.... I can't wait until I can get a couple of magnums and a picture of cancer and just start blowing the [censored] out of it. I want to win.

Fatalwishes, from someone that has only seen all you speak of, and have never felt it, it must be hard to listen to someone say that they feel your pain. It is hard from both ends. All you speak of has been lived through by us so believe me it will get better. Just keep your faith and stay strong minded. This is not funny, but it is, my father cut all his hair off after his second treatment because he said he would get rid of it before it all fell out, so I did the same. Then two days after he cut his hair to about a quarter inch all over it all fell out in plugs. He has now shaved it slick. He barely beat the chemo to it. I have not yet shaved mine, but will be. I will not have any hair as long as he doesn't. Bad thing about it is I have a really big head. I hear you on blowing the crap out of the pic. As soon as we are through with our treatments I plan on taking my dad on a trophy hunt somewhere, or a big fishing trip which he loves just as much. It will be like a victory party. Ill tell you what, keep my information and we will see about taking a hunt when you beat yours as well.

I shaved mine early. I wanted control over it. Plus it was falling out all over the place anyhow. Right now I'm just fighting being sick. 1600 mg of Methotrexate is more than I can handle. I'm just too sick...
