i have heard people putting stick at the top and putting corn behind the door and when the hog go after that corn then it pushes the door open more the stick falls out. i had a piece of square tubing with a string tied to the end and ran to the back of the trap for a trip line. one end of the tubing had a V notched in it to sit on one of the bars on the side panel to make like a hinge. the other end i made as smooth as possible and put a small piece of angle on the door for it to set on. the chain on the bar made it easier for one person to set.

Tie a trip wire about 6 inches off the ground across the bottom of the trap, out the side, and tie it up to the door holding it open. Make sure you use a real light line and tight it tight and pull it tight once tied. Then make sure you have bait in the back of the trap. No pictures but next time I set it up I will snap some.

Put your trip wire on a stake in the middle of the trap. Tie a bait box to the stake. This way the trigger won't spring at the first critter inside. They will have to work the bait to release the stake from the ground. You will hopefully have a multiple catch.
