You have accomplished much my friend.

Congrats to you. I'm glad to hear you are free of this crap. Thank you for sharing.

Hang tough and know everyone here is pulling for you.

I know several of us have had various "issues" over the years and learned the value of the banter and BS we have to offer. I've "used" both the THF & TFF as a needed diversion during my times of pain and uncertainty and have been blessed with the Knowledge of a Greater Power that you and I are not ever alone ... despite not ever darkening the door of a church for most of my life.

2 of my 3 BFF's have had the Big C with some times years of procedures and made it thru the dark days and you will too.

...LOL and here I thought I was the only person to miss the smell of burnt gun powders or Hoppes #9 in my dreams...

Nope. I miss the smell too.

Hell I just bought a Dillon 650 and barely had time to use it before this hit.

Soon....

I'm lucky. Lymphoma Type B. I'll make it.

I'll live to shoot another day.

Having a good day.

The anti nausea medicine is really good. It's fortunate for me the chemo drugs are better....and the anti drugs as well.

I'm tired....but I love reading this site. Ya'll may want to fact check me at times...I'm on oxycotin for the pain and a little sluggish.

Don't feel bad to correct me at any time.

And those 4 words are fantastic to read. Get some rest. Close your eyes and imagine the smell of fresh gunpowder. And, it's always perfectly acceptable to use Hoppe's #9 as cologne. smile

We've got your back darlin. Prayers and best wishes are with you always.

FW,

My thoughts are with you.

May you enjoy many mornings with a nice cup of coffee, some birds singing, and the beauty of many days yet to come.

Best wishes,

Jeff

This [censored] sucks.

I got my final Pathology and Pet Scan results...

It's bad. The PET scan showed more than just the big tumor, it's everywhere in my abdomen...mesenteric lymphnodes,...several loops of the small intestine ....pancreas,..

It's also the most aggressive called Burkitt's

It's still curable but the RCHOP Chemo is out. I have to take the most aggressive dose they have and it has to be done in the hospital.

So starting May 6 I go back to Harris Hospital for Chemo for a week a time

It's a new Treatment developed at MD Anderson called Hyper CVAD.

I just want to curse and say "this sucks" and throw a pity party but it won't do any good.

I'm still curable it's just gonna suck.

I have to do 8 treatments.

They are talking about bone marrow transfusions and blood transfusions and I'm like this is just insane.

I would rather not do a bone marrow transfusion if I don't have to but it's on the table and we have to consult with a specialist.

This sucks. It's all I can say.

You can whip this and will. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and for further motivation I got an idea.

Please pm me your addy. I'm going to send you a freshly shot cartridge.

The smell of gunpowder stays with it for quite awhile. Each time you go in for treatment, drop that cartridge in your pocket.

And when you need a "little pick me up" just hold that cartridge under your nose for a whiff of powder.

We've got your back.

Chad called and really lifted my spirits with talk of future trigger time. 1000 yard shooting....now that's something to live for.

He was telling me about these little round rubber balls you can load in a .38 and shoot em with primers...

I found these...

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/713633/...meter-box-of-50

but those are not the round balls that are reusable. They would work though....anybody know where to get the round balls?

Least I can do is get my SW 586 out and shoot some pics of this fkn tumor and kick its butt realmad .

Jeff, call me anytime you want to chat. When you feel up to it, we WILL go do some long range shooting! I'll make the arrangements!

Those rubber balls might work. The one's i've seen are round. I don't know where to start to look for them.

You might talk to the image tech and get the pet scan films for target practice. I might just join you. I have about 30 pounds of MRI films from about 10 MRI of my back and spinal cord we could start shooting at. clap cheers

My damn hair is falling out.....

Big clumps....wife is just gonna take me back to my basic training days when I was in the Army. I get a head shave in the morning. Better to just get it all now instead of having hair on the couch, pillows, and in my food.

I'm keeping a blog on this fiasco here....

http://beautifuldayinparadise.com/

I've had that for an answer for as long as I can remember. Somebody will ask "How is your day", and I will almost always answer "Just another beautiful day in paradise"....

So my wife bought the domain name and started the blog.....
