Do not order any thing from R guns. I ordered an complete upper over 10 weeks ago that was in stock. Web site said 2-4 weeks delivery at that time, now if I cancel my order they will charge me 100.00 cancel fee. so stay away from this group.

If they haven't shipped it yet, why the $100 charge? That's just plain greedy.

Calm down. Yes, rguns.net is slow. Yes, their customer service is non existent. However, they do make a good product, they will ship it eventually, they do not charge until they ship.

I ordered 3 BCG's from them on 1-9-13. I was charged on 3-29-13, and received them on 4-2-13. I too was pissed about the time delay, but the BCG's were cheap, and nobody else had them anyways.

Check this thread towards the end, it will give you an idea of what date they are currently shipping out. I think they're still working on orders from Jan 2013 right now.

Thank you for the heads-up. I was just shopping them for an upper receiver kit. I guess I will probably order from PSA, unless somebody has a horror story from them.

I've never had a problem with PSA. Usually get my stuff about 2 weeks after I order.

Ordered a BCG from Rguns 1/7/13 got it just a couple of weeks ago. Great BCG, and for a pre-sandy price it was worth the wait.

I ordered mine around the first week in January, and i think it was mid/late march when it arrived. I think at the 5/6 week mark, i emailed and asked what was up and if it was not in stock when i placed the order. The 100 cancel fee had just went in effect.

I finally got an email and it said they were running as fast as they could to ship, but it was more like 8-10 weeks and getting longer due to the order coming in every day.

Sounds like they were not ready for the amount of orders and because they didnt raise prices, they were not going to hire any extra staff to fill orders and lose profit.

I wasnt happy, but I am now that my items are here.

Matt

PSA is just as bad. Look at their industry forum on ARFCOM.

Their shipping and customer service has been bad to very bad in the past, but I think they have fixed it or are at least finally trying to fix it. My last couple of orders have shipped very fast (one ammo order shipped same day). These were orders in February and March. Just relating my recent experiences FWIW.

Hmm I know I bought a lower, lower build kit, and Troy sling a week and a half before the election (wasn't even thinking) and I got my order in very late December.

This was after I think I had something like 40-60 calls to them, none were answered. A couple of emails that were never answered. I posted on their industry forum on ARFCOM and finally got a response. They told me my order was hung up due to FFL not sending it in. So I switch FFL's to my friend that had just opened a new gun store. He sent in his FFL and I wait and wait.... Nothing... So I get ahold of them again to cancel my order, which had to be done on their industry forum since they don't answer emails or phone calls, and they said there would be a 30% restocking fee if I canceled. So I asked what was taking so long and they said they still had not received my FFL. I call my friend and he sends them the email and copied me on it showing that his FFL had in fact been received for my order over 2 weeks ago. He wrote them a pretty scathing email, I guess they were trying to blame my FFL for their slowness. The original FFL probably sent it in and they used him as a scapegoat for an excuse as to why they were taking so long.

I won't use them again for anything. Although they have some great deals I just can't get past the incredibly long shipping times and non-existent customer service. Also them trying to deceive me saying my FFL hadn't been received when in fact it had been and my FFL had confirmation from PSA that the FFL had been received for my order number just rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah, like I said, their shipping and service was known to be lacking. The timing of your order probably didnt help. After my last order of 2012, I was close to swearing them off as well. However, I read in the ARFCOM forum that they had fixed some of the issues, they had a great price on what I wanted, and I was impressed with their fast shipping. Again, just passing on my latest experiences...

I've never had a bad experience in dealing wih PSA. I've always had my info on order and always expected a decent wait. The products have been good quality. I did have an issue with a canted front sight(still functioned 100%), it was shipped to them and back to me free of charge in less that 2 weeks.

So with that said whenever ordering anything AR
HAVE YOUR S#$* TOGETHER. Switching whatever CHL's, colors of parts, cancellations all are gonna add to the wait and cost more $$.
EXPECT TO WAIT!!! You and who knows how many others just ordered the same thing from the same place at the same time.
BE PATIENT lifes too short to be on hold or make 30 calls or emails a day (a little obsessive) and again how many others are doing the same thing? Wonder if it slows down the process? Go read a book, watch a movie, build a house...do somthing productive lol.

Bottom line, you and a million other people jumped on a good deal, be patient and wait.

Umm ok.. My [censored] was together PSA was the ones that didn't have their [censored] together obviously. Also I wouldn't have to call 30 times if they would answer the phone or atleast have an answering machine. I didn't switch anything on my order they claimed they didn't get my FFL which they probably had because they tried the same tired story a second time but didn't work because my FFL was actually a friend and contacted me unlike the other one.

Hardly anything in your post had to do with telling him what to expect. It was pretty much just taking a shot at my experience with PSA. Yes u are correct I did call over 30 times because they would not answer the phone. Sorry customer service. But whatever.

all I can do is wait, and hope it shows up sometime in 2013. Not in a big hurry just thought if I was ordering a item in stock it would ship sooner. I don't think it was in stock in the first place.

That's what's even worse with PSA. If I ordered something that was on back order I'd expect to wait a while for it. PSA claims to sell only things that are in stock. Funny I made 3 separate orders from pkfirearms and sdktactical and got the stuff I ordered in about 3 days.

It is not a restocking fee, it is a cancelation fee. They just implemented it and here is why.

After the panic started people would place orders for parts. R-Guns would make their orders to fill those orders received. Even after being warned it would take 4-6 weeks at a minimum for their parts to arrive. Those customers would then go pay 3 or 4 times what their order from Rguns cost and by on gunbroker or somewhere else. They would then cancel the order with Rguns creating havoc with their already screwed up system.

Rguns is trying to create a penalty for canceling an order already placed and for their time and trouble.

I am an engineer, I submit packages to our purchasing department daily for Instrumentation and Electrical parts. We do not have one vendor, who will not hit us with cancellation fees. So I can understand what they are doing.

If you go out and read, very few people who cancelled got charged the fee if they debated it. The only ones I know of are people who bought like 20 BCGs and then cancelled.

I have never once heard a gun thing about Rguns. Isn't there a mod on here that owns them or am I think about something else?
