This is what I received from them today. Ordered 10 PMags on 12/18/2012. Have been on backorder ever since. However, I know folks who purchased them after me for more money. I held out for my order for $12.30 each.

If you know anything about Botach's reputation its just another example of their poor business practices and bad customer service.

I also heard that during all this they changed the limit to 3 per person. Some folks who had ordered more than that before the change and actually did get some shipped to them only received 3.

I noticed you edited your post from the original "absolutly no idea" comment to now giving free lessons on it.

If you think you can become a expert on capitalisim that quick than you are worse off than I originaly thought.

Is what they did was cancel his order to sell at a higher price. It's chicken [censored] but that's what happened. In a nut shell that's a prime example of a twisted form of free market capitalism. Correct me if I'm wrong. As far as editing my orgional post ya I did edit it. I didn't figure I would let you off that easy.

When a buyer and a seller agree on a purchase price and the buyer agrees to buy for that price both parties are entered into a contract. In this case the contract was in the form of a back order. The way a back order works is when the product comes in that item is suppose to be considered sold to the person that back ordered it and NOT sold to someone else an ANY price. In selling that item to someone else while canceling the back order the seller commited "breach of contract". Breach of contract is different than capitalism. Now this kind of breach of contract may or may not be enforcable by law but its still breach of contract.

There is your lesson for the day.

Never heard a good thing about them from a few different forums, only bad. That's enough to not take the chance & recommend that others not either. Kinda like CTD.

That's the beauty of the free market. A company can follow whatever rules they set for themselves & potential customers can choose to, or not to deal with them because of how they run their business. If they stay in business, they obviously have enough folks who either like the treatment they receive, or don't know any better.

@JCB so what your telling me is that your "contract" want hold water? The elements of a contract are "offer" and "acceptance" by "competent persons" HAVING LEGAL CAPACITY who exchange "consideration" to create "mutuality of obligation." Correct me if in wrong but I'm pretty sure capitalism was the reason they did what they did and not some hole filled contract. Now let me hear your next lesson.

Well, you as the buyer do have a contract. The problem is that you can't enforce the contract without legal action and the legal action is far more of an expense than not getting what you bought. In the world where I used to work, failure to perform on a contract pretty much was a death sentence to the non-performing party. Out here in the non-corporate world where I live now, people fail to perform on contracts all the time and there isn't much we can do about it. One thing I did find out was that taking somebody to small claims court is pretty much a wasted exercise, so that's not much of an option. The 'little guy' hasn't got much protection.

Had the EXACT same thing happen to me. 10 days after the election I ordered 15 Troy mags from them at $13 a piece. Held my order and my $$ until 30 days later when they sent a cancellation of my order.

Ordered multiple Pmags in dec. last week they shipped me two steel mags. Called CS and they said my order was complete and they hung up. Called back told them to not hang up before I finished. I explained the situation and was told something about a max back order time and they filled it with a replacement magazines.

I turned it over to discover since I was charged over $400. The rep at discover said she dealt with a similar issue with them.

Put another one on the list of those I'll never do business with.

ZERO integrity on their part.

The reason they are doing this is so they can sell the product you bought at pre Sandy Hook prices at post Sandy Hook prices. Their not the only ones doing it either. Sad but unfortunately true...
