Here's a thought exercise for you if you like. Order something like this. http://www.onlylongrange.com/bn36.asp $1800 bucks, 30-06, 20 round mags (you can get others specifically for hunting) And if 30-06 eventually doesn't do it for you, you can eventually order up a custom barrel (or even get an upper assembly dedicated to that barrel) for it since ALL '06 derivative cartridges would run through it. 338-06, 35 Whelen, 375 Whelen, heck even 400 Whelen .... that list is pretty extensive. Tweak the bolt face (which is a standard AR-10 bolt with better heat treating) and you have a semi-auto magnum long action rifle if the cartridge will fit the mag. Good luck.

Since no boundaries are mentioned, and I have been hankering for something that would mist a coyote at a very long range, I would kindly inflict my current I want one upon you ... Noreen ULR Rifle Never send a boy... unless you want to eat the target, that is. X2! The Noreen ULR .50BMG will be my next rifle! For the $2500 range, you can't beat the "Bang for the buck"... literally!

Everyone will have a different answer. I really like the Browning or Weatherby.
