Also, Progressive is just what they say: "Progressive". Extremely radical left-wing ownership.

I am no longer a GEICO customer.

I was given the opportunity to reveal why I was firing GEICO, which I did (as nicely as I could). The young lady at GEICO tried to tell me that there was some kind of misunderstanding surrounding the cancellation notice seen above and that it actually really had nothing to do with firearms, so I told her that the cancellation letter can be seen on the net (translation: please don't try to BS me!).

Just as well. This will save me about $250 a year.

Check this out...Better be sure that this isn't regarding an under-equipped bomb hauler or something that has nothing to do with guns. Nothing like having everyone look all knee-jerky like the gun grabbers.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/geico.asp

Now if it saves you $250, well then take the hike!

Hopefully you cancelled your policy with them shortly after.

No, but about two months later, they sent a refund check for the remainder of the prepaid policy time; They also cover our four wheelers and tractors/farm equipment;

Now, Germania, drop me. Not for the gun shop, or the range, they were OK. It was the batting cage. They told me I have to fence the batting cage with 8' chain link or they'd drop me.... I went back to Farm Bureau

LOOK at the text in the letter: "...it is used in conjunction with a company that deals in the weapons industry." That looks like pretty clear language to me.

Snopes is NOT a reliable source for confirming or debunking controversies. They ARE good at trying to spin the story to make conservatives look bad, nothing more. The same is true of factcheck.org. "Fact check," my a$$! Both of these outfits are chicken**** libtard purveyors of deception.

I am an insurance agent (Germania) The policy was probably cancelled by a underwriter that interpreted company policy. I posted this on my facebook the moment I saw it. This company Government Employees Insurance Company has the right to make its own company policy if it wants just like we have the right to tell these liberal hacks to take a hike and not do business with them. This company takes your insurance money and some of it is probably used to support this president and all that he stands for including banning guns.

Snopes has been caught in so many liberal slants to the "truth", they should be categorized as a comic site.

Read the letter in the OP and then read the way snopes tries to spin it.

OK, I did. And I read alot of the stuff about snopes. Fine, they are liberal pawns - whatever. Forget snopes for a minute...

From the OP: "The reason for cancellation is your vehicle, (... blacked-out...), does not meet our underwriting guidelines because it is used in conjunction with a company that deals in the weapons industry."

So, an insurance underwriter HAS to insure everything we ask them to? What if the guy is using a car - like a Ford Escort - to haul hand grenades or something? Is that the appropriate vehicle for the stated use? It's weapons, are y'all saying they never cause situations where there is a reasonable expectation that the insurance claims might exceed what a non-weapons use might incur...

Us gun-owners are always complaining about half-truths and not enough info and knee-jerk reactions. For me this is just the other side of that same coin. Boycott away, but I suspect that Geico is just watching out for its bottom line.

Your mileage may vary, so Peace.

BTW, I got this directly from the owner of gunadapters.com

Initially, he just told people the situation and allot of people, myself included, called BS on it and requested a copy of the cancellation notice, which is when I recieved the picture that I posted.

Here's another Snopes deception. I emailed Kelly McMillan when this went down and he confirmed it. Yet Snopes attempts to spin it into something else all together and sow seeds of doubt.

Snopes is a liberal spin machine. If you want to believe the crap they put out, have at it.

The media's been lying to people for so long they no longer believe what their own eyes and ears and common sense tell them---just like children of alcoholics who grow up unable to discern reality because their minds would not allow them to believe the violence and insanity they see growing up. As a consequence they have no confidence in their own perception as adults. The things we see spewing forth from outfits like Snopes is cut from the same cloth. They're all part of the liberal spin machine.

I guess I grew up before all the brainwashing took hold. I fear for this country's future.

Who knows about these internet stories. It's important for all of us to be vigilant and also skeptical. I certainly agree with that statement though.
