Iv done it a good bit. Main thing is you need to make sure your loop is just big enough to go over the snout... i promise you DO NOT want to catch around the neck you will be replacing fence no dout. set it about the size of your palm and you will be good. when you snout them they will just sit down and be wating on you.

I build mine. Got some pics of it on fb at
Predator-solutions. I do neck snare mine. I don't put them in the fence and I've only had 2 alive. You can really hurt them with snares but they will catch a deer. Be careful bout that.

Set a 15'' loop 6" off the ground with a loaded snare in thick brush and us a 12' snare. Ram powers work great but are very dangerous if you never messed with them. A micro lock works great. No small cam locks thou. They will be broken. A slim lock is good and fast. Your lock must fire fast and don't worry bout the micro locks. The brush will entangle them and they will have a breath taking experience.

Set on a game fence if possible just off the ground. You can try trails but unless your in bad thick covered trails your not gona catch very often

do you stain (walnut shell and boiling water), paint or baking soda and boiling water your snares before you use them?
