Any idea how you can shoot a doe through both lungs with a 300UM, leave a golf ball size hole, and the dang deer still run 150 yards after being knocked down Never had a deer take a step when I used that gun... If she did not break any shoulders or spine it then they will run.

It's about the deer's will power. I know 22-250 and 300UM are very different, but I shot shoulder on just a Texas buck and it was DRT but that GA deer just ran off like nothing happened(after falling of course). The guys at camp also told me about a buck that been shot with a 30-06 that crossed 2 creeks, took another bullet with the 06 and a pistol shot to the head from point blank that it just shook off. Some deer just have more willpower than others. If she did not break any shoulders or spine it then they will run. X2

Well...when we are talking about my height, we aren't talking about much Well bless her heart. At least she has a "bigger" (very liberal term) brother to look up to as a mentor for her hunting.
