I like hen scratch as a base. Use cheap beer as your liquid and throw in a few packs of yeast since you are on a short time frame. Be sure and have some type of vent though. Good luck!

Start with a new 20 gallon trash can

Hawaiian Punch, Apple Juice and Dry yeast

mix ingredients together, cover and let stand for 2 days

unless you meant for the hogs then that's a different recipe!

This probably pinged a computer in the BATFE basement...

To make the sour mash, get some cracked corn, put it in a five gallon bucket, cover it with water, sprinkle some brewers yeast (or stout beer) over the top, mix it up and wait.

In my experience, the dry corn works just as well though.

buckets with lids (3)
corn (1 bag)
sweet feed (1 bag)
yeast ( 3 packages)
85 cent strawberry soda from dollar store (6 two liter bottles)
water
black garbage bags

mix corn and sweet feed and fill each bucket leaving a little expansion room. put one packet of yeast in each bucket. add 2 bottles of strawberry soda to each bucket and then fill with water til it covers the corn mix. put the bucket in the garbage bag and put it in the sun.

if you can leave it in the back of wife's truck then it gets agitated when she drives around.

It takes (in my experience) longer than a few days to get it ripe and really smelly. I usually use a bucket of corn, a beer, and a can of tomato sauce. The sugar acts to help accelerate the process while the corn breaks down. Put the lid on and sit her in the sun for about two weeks. Works like gangbusters.

If you want it extra smelly, take whatever grain you decide upon and DON'T add yeast to it and leave it uncovered for a few days before covering. There are plenty of wild yeasts that will contaminate the grain. They are much more pungent than baking or brewing yeasts, and are usually heartier. Many commercial yeasts will die if left in the sun. Also, all large brewers and many smaller brewers filter the yeast out of their beer before bottling. If you want to find a beer with active yeast, pick up a bottle and look at the bottom. If it hasn't been filtered you will see a small amount of yeast. And as stated earlier, adding sugar will give the yeast a boost.

Corn, water, and milk... smells great. Used it in traps. I've heard ppl use diesel and corn but never tried. Dig a hole about a foot or so deep add corn mixture. Keeps em busy for a while.

I've done the diesel and corn in a hole. Problem is the ground is so hard where we are at its hard to dig a deep enough hole. We tried to go three foot. When we have done it they make a hole that looks like a meteor hit the ground.

Just fill a walmart blue tote about three fourths full corn then fill with
water then let stand for several weeks stiring to sour...longer if possible..pour out
in several locations around hunting area..u can add a half gallon of diesel to keep coons out..and here is a key tip... for each pile of corn... pour two pkgs of walmart brand strawberry jello on top of pile ..good luck

Add some eggs to the recipe's. Don't sit down wind. Don't spill any on yourself.

just water and corn in a 5 gallon bucket and let it sit outside.......produces some wonderful maggots..... wait until the bucket looks alive and it will be prefect for distribution at your favorite locations........

With the cool weather you'll need a 20-30 gal trash can with lid. I use 50lb milo, couple packs yeast and water. Wedge a old broom handle or something similar inside the top of the trash can. This gives you an attatchment point for a clamp-on light with at least a 100w bulb. Turn it on, put the lid on and let it simmer. This is the only way I can get the funk needed in the fall and winter b/c of the cooler temps.

Went over to my cousins last night and she asked me to get rid of a 5 gallon bucket of corn and water that her ex-bf had mixed up mid summer. It looked like a balloon about to pop. I didn't open it, but it 90+ days is a fine ingredient to a recipe for nasty corn.
