I've been putting practice in with a 243 that I have loaded some 70gr Nosler for. Just waiting to get a chance now.

AR 15 .223 is my caliber of choice, bc you might find more then one hog

300 remington ultra mag. I want a gun that if I shoot a 500 pound hog in the sheild it will still drop.

.450 Bushmaster, its basically a 45-70 that is magazine fed and has a higher rate of fire

Any gun I have with me at the time 22lr to 50BMG or anything available inbetween

Last time- 50cal (muzzleloader that is). Next time- muzzleloader or M4 in .223

Usually .458 Socom with 405gr softpoints or .45 Colt with 300gr hollowpoint handloads loaded pretty warm (through a 24" lever). Sometimes 45/70, but I find follow-up shots on secondary targets are slower.
