I need some corn soured in four days. Any idea? I know about jello but even that takes a couple weeks. I was thinking raw some eggs or even shiting in the bucket of corn.

2 or 3 packages of yeast. leave the lid cracked a bit for expansion. put the bucket in a heavy duty black plastic bag and leave in the sun. (oven affect) someone told me one time to get a cheap wally world fish tank heater but i never tried it.

Milk! Years back my uncle could get all the whey from a cheese factory he wanted. He would mix that with ground feed for "slop" for the pigs. Nasty!
"It is the same boiling water that softens the rice, which hardens the egg." It's not always about the circumstances, but what you are made of....

I think crapping in the bucket is a great idea. Let us know how it turns out.

lol yeah, good luck with the poop.
You can let some cheap meat rot. Pigs are cannibals and they LOVE rotten breakfast sausage. Not so much spicy though. We caught some with it and they ate everything, except there were still a few bites of the spicy sausage left. Caught some with deer guts and pig guts too.
If you don't have time for rotten meat then try yeast and water, or dairy products mixed with it.
If it looks good, eat it.
Rocks are cool, also kittens.

Make sure it is "active" yeast (any grocery store). Beer yeast is dead and will not sour corn. Add water to the yeast and corn. When it is cool it will take longer than any 3 or 4 days no matter what. I used to so this and even in the summer it would take the better part of a week....and it still wasn't fully "soured".
Eventually I stopped doing the souring thing as it seemed that the results were no better than with plain old corn. This reduced some labor and cost...

lately with all the rain, when my dry mix of sweet feed and corn gets wet, it doesn't take long to get funky. kind of sweet and funky.

Ever hurd diesel. That really work ? I would think the fumes on the corn would draw them away? How much diesel would u put in it? Like a coffee can full or just a little?
