I bought 2 green 250's a few weeks ago and have not seen any hogs with them, but the deer don't flinch. It has a range out to a couple hundred yards.

The EW 250 is the way to go. It's a killer light. I've got mine mounted on a Saiga along with a green laser.

Is this basically an LED flashlight strapped on top of your rifle scope? Does anyone know how many lumens it is?

From what I see on their website it costs $140, but it sounds like it might be worth it. Do you guys use some kind of light that either stays on all the time at your feeder or is motion activated so you will know when something is at your feeder? I got a couple of the Wildlife Innovations Moonshine Hog & Varmint Feeder Lights this last weekend and I was not real pleased with them. I got them instead of EWT's Kill Light Feeder Light simply because I could not just go down to Academy or Bass Pro Shop and pick it up the EWT's off the shelf. One thing that was disappointing was that even though I could see with my 10x50 binoculars if something was at the feeder, when I put my 3-9x40 scope to my eyes, I could not see the cross hairs to shoot. I had it left on all the time as opposed to the motion activated setting, but during the ~3 hours after dark that we stayed there each night, we never saw anything go to them anyway.

What kind of scope do you have, does it have fine cross hairs.

I have shot a few pigs right at dark and a few coons. Works great for games in the 0-150 yards range. I think its worth the price.

Does the XLR250 make it where you can see your scope's cross hairs if you have non lighted reticle fine cross hairs? That must be one powerful light if you can see game 150-200 yards way. Sounds like you might be able to light up the dark side of the moon with it. Anybody know how many lumens it is or whatever? It's hard to imagine you can lower a light that powerful on some pigs and they don't scatter. I can't wait to get one and try it out.

if you shake the light then you will scare them away for sure. EW and youtube videos have told me to turn on the light above them and bring it down slowly. the new version of the light has power settings for brightness. and yes, you should be able to see your crosshairs just fine.

I suggest him also. I ordered mine from there. Excellent response and customer service. I would order from again before I shop some where else.

I got mine in yesterday. I took it out and looked through the cross hairs and could read a license plate on a car at 150 yards. My buddy has on ewe have been using and I am very impressed with it so far. I see no reason that I could not hit something at 200 yards with it. I personally will not shoot that far at night, but the light could do it if I wanted it too.

In my opinion, so far it is a very good buy. The XLR250 is well built and does not look cheap when you actually get it in your hand.

His did have a problem though. The button to trigger the light to come on went out so he sent it back. they replaced it with out any issues at all.

The XLR 250 is supposed to be around 900 lumens I believe. It is definitely bright. Though I think you can see the reticle on your scope, an illuminated reticle is definitely the way to go. My eyes aren't what they once were, so I don't know that I could see an unlit reticle at 150 or 200 yards. As stated above, turn the light on and slowly lower it on the pigs. That has worked fine for me. A friend borrowed mine and popped a coyote at 80 yards last Saturday night with an unlit reticle. Sold him on it...

Still waiting on the Chinese version that is supposed to be the equivalent to the XLR 100. I ordered them 12/20/11....and they have shipped. Gotta be patient with those guys...

It does take a while. I ordered 5 of them Dec 9th and didnt get them till Jan 12. Well worth the wait though. Not to mention I bought 4 spare batteries and those work in my friends xlr250. MUCH CHEAPER!

Can't wait till I get mine. I had to order mine through Boondock Outdoors website because EWT's website said they were "backordered". It didn't say on Boondock's website when they would get in though. Hopefully will be before I go hunting again weekend of 2/10. I still want to get a EWT Kill Light Feeder Light also, but that also shows backordered on EWT's website and have not found where else to get them.
