Out of Seymour I go 1919 to 267. Go North on 267 to 70w to Crowell. From Crowell N on 6 to Quanah. 1919 has got to be the gameiest road I have ever been on. Deer, turkey, hogs. Its not traveled to much. I won't go that way if I would be on it after about 4:00pm. Nice drive though. Larry

1919 - "The Game Highway". I take it every single time on my way to Paducah. I love that 30 mile stretch of road!!!

Right at 300 miles from Mansfield to Shamrock (4.5 - 5 hours). Every weekend during season & prolly 8-10 off season trips. Add to that the 2 trips up to NW Wisconsin for Rifle (Nov.) and Bowhunting (Oct.) and I put a few miles on the Diesel per year for hunting!

After all, hunting's not a matter of life and death.. It's far more important than THAT!

When I was hunting the place in Montague county, it was 88 miles one way from the front gate at our house to the front gate at the place we were hunting.

We would go, or I would go every weekend during season that it wasn't bad weather. That included getting up at 4:30 or 5:00 on a Sunday morning and just driving up to hunt till noon.

When we go out to Pecos county to do our hunts it is 385 miles + or - depending on which way I decide to go. Once out there and when we don't have hunters we put about 50 miles a day on the pick up. If we have hunters in I'll put 75 to 100 depending on where we are finding the javelina and the weather.

340 miles one way from Angleton to Junction. That's 680 round trip. About 45 gallons of diesel. About $150 for fuel.....(kind of wish I figured that out now.)

Place in Kendal county is 45 miles one way, and our place in Duval county is 200 miles one way. We split the season between the two, first half at kendal and the second in duval, and we rarely mis a weekend, but the driving is split between four people, me my dad my brother and my uncle.

Backyard with the bow. Lease is only about 10 miles from the door...heck probably only 3 or 4 as crow flies.
