Just wondering for the rest of you how many miles to your hunting grounds and how many round trips in one deer season?

Mine is 65 miles one way makes it kind of a pain if I only have time for a morning hunt or just an evening hunt.

I hunt where I live, but it's not that good...yet. Just moved here in 2005 and the surrounding leases have feeders year-round. I think I've about got my place primed for the deer to come over with food plots and feeders. Hope so anyway.

My other place is 64 miles round-trip and I go (or try to go) every weekend.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

37 miles one way. I wouldn't go home at midday, usually, but came home each night. I hunted maybe 12 days.

549 miles one way from Houma, La to Uvalde Tx. I make it at least 6 times per season. Long ways.

Ouch, that's got to be close to $1800 in gasoline.

62 miles one way. I try to make it out every weekend and occasionally during the week for an evening hunt if I get off of work early.

Well, everybody has different values/priorities. Maybe he's got a group of hunting-buddies he enjoys getting together with.

300 miles one way. I missed one weekend and go every 6 weeks or so during the off season. I'm probably spending as much on gas as I am on the lease

Colleyville to just north of Ranger 103 miles one way. I'd leave the house at 3:30am and be in my stand by 5:45am.
I have an in on a great place in Brady for next season though, and that one will be 203 one way.
For us guys in the major cities long drives are a fact of life.
