eating size frogs in southeast texas

i was watching swampsgiving and hairy bikers and frog legs were on the menu. is there a public place in southeast texas/ liberty county area to catch frog leg size frogs? i would think along the trinity but not sure where.

It ain't frog season. Go to the asian grocery and you can buy 'em live.

I would NOT eat anything that lives in the Trinity, but that's just me. Frogs are cold blooded animals, so you are not going to be successful finding too many this time of year. If I wanted to go catch frogs, I would try Dam B on the Tyler Co./Jasper Co. line. Go in the late spring and through out the summer. You must have a hunting license to catch frogs.

When i was a kid my dad would go to Daisetta area and clean up on them, but I wouldnt eat anything from that area now days. We also did well going down the local canals and resevoirs... If you just want to try them over in Liberty there is a restraunt, The Little Kitchen, that serves them on Friday nite, all you can eat with shrimp and catfish. Its by the flag pole on Hwy 90...
