im ok on everything else, course corn is always welcome. 4 hogs killed this week that i know of. but they were in every pasture last night. hogs are not coming to the feeder now, i would suggest using atv,s and driving the place at various times during the night, ive done this previously, and seem to have no trouble getting into shooting range without sppoking them.

Mike and I went to Rick's Fri night, sure he got hogs on property and signs of rooting, but it ain't so easy as few may think. We were at 2 locations and we did not see cayotes, coons etc. plenty of corn at the feeder not much activity. Mike shot hog about 5 am and she bolted. So after all night I started stalking 1 area deep in the woods and came up on 2 hogs as I closed down to get better view and see if there are more there was only one that Mike shot that morning, so I finished her off before she had a chance to run off. I need to add that on surrounding land there sure are plenty of people hunting and running dogs at night. Hogs are under pressure and it's hard to predict where and when will they show up, do not count on big groups to show up when feeder goes off. Patience and some luck may pay off.

How many acres total that can be hunted?Have dogs and need lots of land to run them, long range and stay on runners till stopped.Have had them run a big boar and stop and bay for several miles.

Would like to kill some hogs after the deer season if you just want them thinned out, I could bring a squad of hogslayers from Ft Hood if you have an opening.

on further thought, dog hunters would be severely limited by the acerage. all my neighbors deer hunt or have deer hunters on their property so dont want anyone on it, and i know, i have ran dogs of one kind or other all my life and know that they dont move deer, but neighbors dont know this

Im Curious. I have been hearing that some hogs have been showing up with some kind of virus and is making people sick. My first thought is that folks just arent cooking it right. Any Input? Cause i would sure love to get my first hog and take some meat home but now my relatives and family say ill be eating it by myself.
