Lol... Back then I wasn't worried about her deer, I could bust anywhere from 5-10 deer on the lease and would take her out there as a guest. However doing that got me ratted out for us being an "item" by several guys on the lease to her dad (due to having to register guests names in the guest log).

Like I said, she doesn't gripe, not even about money! I'm not kidding or bragging, I have been blessed!

May we all have been as lucky. Mine has plans of things like Christmas trips... Child birthing and crazy ideas like that to interfere with my hunting. Never complains about the $ part bc she's 10x worse than I am on justifying hunting costs.

ahhh heck I's just ribbing you. I have a great wife also...she's never complained about me and my boy going except that she'll miss us. Sounds like we have both been blessed with great women! Just you got a lil' more blessed with the location.

not for one of the places I regularly hunt... I would drive 4hrs there for an entire days hunt though.

Now if it was a new special place, 4hr drivin for 4hr hunting is no problem.

But u should just go... never know when big boy is gonna step out.

I'm going. The full moon and relative warmth might have disuaded me if this weren't the last real weekend of the rut.

But it is, so they won't.

So given the choice of going for a few hours or sitting on your behind, you wouldn't hunt for a few hours?

Not my idea of a hunter. But hey, to each his/her own, right?
