My place is a solid 2-hr drive. Wife setup brunch with a friend on Sunday and is bringing our son with her. Basically clearing my day until 1:00 or so.
I'd have to leave house around 4:00am to hunt for 4 hours and turn around and drive another couple of hours back.
I already know the answer, but would you drive 4 hours to hunt 4 hours? Success is in no way, shape, or form assured or even likely at my place.
Let's hear it.

I have done that many a time before in the afternoons. So yep I would go. Your area is or has the rut going on, so with that I would definetly go.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Clearly I'm going.
Especially now that 2 people reinforced the decision.
It's obviously the right one.

I would soil myself if I saw a 138 10-pt at my place, even though it's right around the corner from you.
I'm going. Decision was made about 3 minutes after wife floated it out there.
But I'll be tired and grouchy Sunday evening, mark my words.

Full moon + warm temps + high winds + 4 hour round trip, to hunt for 4 hours = I wouldn't bother going.

Definitely go. You never know when the family conditions will be right for a solo outing again. They seem to be fewer and farther between these days.
Texas is better.

I'm further justifying it by the fact that we have awesome rocks all over my property and I need to pick some up to landscape the yard at our house.
I'M SAVING $$$ BY GOING, HONEY!!!

depends on how much you get to hunt...if it twer me I'd be out the door in a heart beat but if you get to go all the time then......it's a game time call.

Yes... It's only 4hrs of total driving. Travel doesn't become significant until you spend half a day in a vehicle.

My trips for the last 4 yrs had involved 6-6.5 (depending on wife's ability to hold it) one way. Got it knocked down to 2hrs now one way.

All I gotta do is walk out the door! Lucky I guess! But that's what I'm used to with the option of shooting deer off the back porch or a 10m drive to a very nice lease. Marriage will getcha every time!
