I recently purchased a Deer blind from Larry at Blinds for real, (Great blind & guy to deal with), it's a 4X6. I don't have a camper, & don't really want the payments either. So, has anyone ever spent the night in their deer blind?? I did Saturday night, & it wasn't to bad! I'm also to lazy or cheap to drive back to Ft. Worth from Palo Pinto after my evening hunt, just to come back for the AM hunt.........

my 4x6 is a little tighter spaces for two but one is OK but my 6x8 gets overnight summer hog hunting use a lot. i plan to add cots or padded benches before spring to my 6x8. i use my 4x6 for deer hunting and use my 6x8 for a field camp since it is between the base camp and my deer stand. my son and i have talked about adding a sleeper to the back of the 4x6.

I have an 8 x 12 that has electricity, a/c and a coffee pot. Me and the boys almost live in that thing. It also has one of those cedar coolers that they sell at Buc-ees to keep dinks and food cold for days. Just need to add a satellite and a flat screen and I would never go home.

I do the drive palo pinto to Weatherford morning and night. Just not worth it to me to not have a real toilet, hot shower, warm bed and THF and not having to pay for a camper either.

Greetings,
There is a little old lady who has a deluxe suite in the sky south of Laredo near Brunig.
She has it fixed up.
12 x 12 "blind" on a 25 foot drill stem tower that is enclosed so she drives right up to it, pushes a button, opens the garage door and drives her Broncho right in and closes the door behind her.
Has electricity, heat, AC, frige, stove, portapotty and it also has a small 30" square elevator to take things up and down.
One of the last true frontier women.
She has her cot and keeps it stocked with liquor.
Last time I talked to her son, she still uses it as a regular get away from the rest of the family and still hunts from it with a bolt 30-06.

My grandson and I sleep in ours all the time-of course it helps that it's a sleeper off of a Mack truck and still has the bunk in it-and a propane heater.

If nothing else, go buy a cheap tent at Academy for $40 dollars. I sleep in one.... it's bigger. Have a cot, table and 2 chairs in mine. It's not a camper, but most will last 2-3 years.

You mean you have to wait until it is night to sleep in a blind?

Seriously, if you are comfortable, the only restriction is your bladder. I think the night sounds would make for a restful sleep.

Enjoy it guilt free.
