Do ya'll wear gloves when you clean your hogs? If so, what is the danger of not wearing them? Just wondering.

i wear gloves. i forget the name of the disease but the chances of getting it are pretty slim i think.
It's not how you fall, It's how you get up.

Wear gloves. Hogs can transmit swine brucellosis and a few other diseases to humans.

I use them for all game. In addition to safety, it sure makes hand clean-up easier. Don't try picking your nose unless you used them.
Those EMS gloves pafree linked to sure look nice. I may see if the other guys on my lease want to go in on a case.

iv cleaned hundreds of hogs...and just wore cut gloves...just wash hands realy good after and poroxide any cuts after your done...the surgical gloves are good but if you nick you hand it will go through the gloves and be exposed either way...iv even seen people were latex gloves under a cut glove..done it plent of times with no gloves at all

I wear them when I clean any game for two reasons. 1. I don't mind seeing guts, but touching them grosses me out. 2. Disease and clean up. I have never field dressed a hog that didn't stink to high heaven.
