Better than the ones you named, there are better scopes out there for sure. Sporting optics in most cases you get waht you pay for

In my opinion I would stay away from both mentioned. The quality of both are questionable. I personaly would not put a BSA on a water gun but thats me. I would also stay away from such high powered scopes 6-24 etc... If your going to go with that kinda of magnification you better spend a whole lot more money and by a quality scope that will stay clear. Also under the higher magnification you better be a very steady shooter because holding on a target at high power and long distance is an art in itself and requires a lot of practice. My recomendation would be to pickup a Burris Fullfield II in 3x9 and you will have all the scope you will need for a tidy sum between $130.00 - $165.00 depending when you can find them on sale

You can buy a $65 scope that has all kinds of bells and whistles and it is still a piece of crap. Features do not make up for low quality. Save up a little more money and get at least a Burris, Weaver, or Nikon. If you want a scope that will hold up indefinitely, find a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9x. If you shop you should be able to get into a used one for well under $200, maybe as low as $150 if you're not picky about appearance. You'll then have a lifetime scope with decent optics.

The above advice is good. You might also add Redfield (made by Leupold) and Vortex Diamondback to the list. Personally, I would stay away from the 50mm objective size as it makes one use high rings which makes gettig a good solid "cheek weld" nearly impossible. Buy a good scope and you won't be sorry.

Out of the two you listed, if anything happens to it Bushnell would be the best way to go about getting warranty work done. However I agree with a significant amount of what has been posted above. What was the price range that you were looking to spend. We have a lot of great deals going on right now. I'd like to help you get in the right direction. Even if it's just good advice. Let me know if I can help you.

the bullet drop compensation is for longer shots. Say you have to put the sights 2 inches above the deer instead of guessing there are circles under the crosshairs

the bullet drop compensation is for longer shots. Say you have to put the sights 2 inches above the deer instead of guessing there are circles under the crosshairs And that's an appoximation. Don't pull the trigger on a deer at a given range if you havn't practiced it on targets prior. I have no experience with BSA but the Bushnell Banner will not transmit light very much. And when is hunting the best? Times of the day there is low light, dusk and dawn. Like others have said avoid both and go with the Burris, Nikon, Weaver, or low end Leupold.

Research some scopes, then check the Sample List at SWFA. You can get a used, demo or refurbished scope at a discount.
