Walmart at LaMarque, Galveston County - I-45 & FM 1764 Exit 16 - today corn prices $7.27 for a 30 lb. bag. I've never seen it in a 30 lb. bag before.

Fort Worth Academy ad has 40# bags for $7.49. Price ends 8/13. That's what their add shows, but mine rang up at $6.99 for 40 lb. bag, I didnt say anything to the cashier

Dicks should still have it on sale for around 6.97 a 40lb bag

Thee are mummies in Hondo= Pearsall= Rio Medina and San Antonio but most HEB's carry the apple corn.......

Academy in Plano has 40# bags for $6.99. The sign said 7 something. Dicks sporting goods in Frisco went back up on there prices also.

Ok....I got it all figured out. Take the cost of the corn divide it by the number of pounds and determine the cost per pound. Now ask yourself, is it worth driving all over creation to buy corn 50 cents per bag cheaper when gas is hovering around $3.55/gallon and diesel is $3.75/gallon. How about those economics?
P.S. High corn prices are no good for anyone except for the farmer with a lot in storage or large companies who are sitting on billions of buschels.

I can get it free;) Some places in Iowa you can go get somewhat rotten stuff for free (or if it has bugs). But I get mine free because my Dad farms.

40 on a pallet @ our co-op or 1 ton 2000lbs, it doesn't save much.. discount locally is .10 per bag by the ton.
