My local grocery store has boneless pork chops for 1.59 a pound this week. They'll grind it up for free. What could I make out of that? I have a good smoker. Some kind of sausage maybe? Thanks for any ideas/recipes.

i also got italian sausage seasoning to use in my wife's spaghetti sauce and chorizo seasoning for breakfast burritos.

I never heard of grinding pork chops.

Hey thanks for the ideas. I never heard of grinding pork chops either, but at 1.59 a pound, that's cheap ground pork. Any other ideas? I guess I could mix it 50/50 with hamburger and make some great hamburgers!

Myself, I don't see any reason to add beef. Pork is GOOD.

And I'd advise keeping some of those chops for
the grill or frying pan just the way they are.

But you can't go wrong 'cause, again, pork is GOOD.

I agree, I love it. It just dawned on me, I have been wanting to learn how to make tamales. I think I'll stock up on this stuff with that it mind for a future learning project. I could smoke a batch of these and then shred the meat.

Chops would be a bit coarse and too lean for sausage. I would leave them whole for frying or grilling. Pork butt and picnics are for grinding.

Fill pepper with cheese (your choice of both but pepper needs to be pretty big), cover in pork sausage like a ball, wrap with bacon then put them on the pit to cook/smoke.

Add some ground deer to the pork at about 50/50 and make chile. You won't regret it.
