We're on a lease near Utopia with most feeders and stands set up near a spring-fed creek in a deep canyon. We have a lot of hogs, along with Auodad, whitetail, fallow, and a few elk and sika. Before this year's season opens, we can take as many hogs and Auodad as we want. Our problem is that we can't seem to get the hogs to come in on any regular basis. We've tried corn mixed with beer that was soaked in a barrel for a week, and corn mixed with molasses. Neither worked. Is there something we can put out on a Friday that will draw the hogs in
within a day or two so we can hunt them over the weekend?

Plain corn is all you need. They will find it when they find it.

x 2 on the corn. also right now is the lack of rain and water supply for them. when i picked my spot at the lease it was the wet and swampy and everybody frowned about it for deer hunting, now it is only of a few spots on the lease that still holding water and the hogs keep coming back to my area.

Man I have tried the same thing. We always struck out when we tried baiting right before we hunted. I mean we tried everything that has ever been said on here dang near. We ended up finding out hunting the feeders work best for us. Some say the hogs don't like new things and it takes a while for them to get used to it and come in, I believe it now. I know there's plenty of guys out there who have had great luck and I wish you the best man. Good luck and get em all!!

Solution is simple you said that before the season you took as many hogs as you wanted. Once hogs are shot at in a particular place they are slow to come back because of the hunting pressure. They should start showing up again now that it is drying up and they are looking for food.

if you dont already, put up game cams to see what times they are more frequent. if there is corn, that is all you need for them to come in.

dig you a hole about a foot in the dirt and fill it up with corn and diesel. the diesel will keep all the varmits out not the hogs or get a old telephone pole soak in kresal
