Guys, If I were looking for one gun that would foot the bill of these two guns what would it be?
My criteria is it has to be reliable, forty cal, double strike capability, capacity of 10 plus, double action, tritium sight, and close the size of the J frame,.
Price is not a consideration, Is there such and animal?

Kahr PM40 but not double strike I dont think
Sig DAK versions ( What Dallas, Troopers, and a couple gov agencies carry) I think the smallest might be a 239

Smallest .40 with 10 rounds is the Glock 27 I would guess. That's what I carry. About as light as the airweight until you load them both up, then the Glock get's heavier due to twice the ammo capacity. Dimensions are similar, but the Glock is more "square". Just doesn't fit in a pocket like an airweight.
I have a 239 as well. Love the gun, but it's on the heavy side, and capacity isn't 10.

The P250 sub-compact is the same size as the G27 but is a DAO.

The P250 sub-compact is the same size as the G27 but is a DAO. True, it's just 25% heavier. 25 oz. vs. 20 oz.

I've been on this quest for years. The weight don't concern me on the Glock but double strike does. The Kahr triggers I can't get used to the long reset especially after using an SRT 226. It makes double tapping a bitch for me. I gave two Kahrs a try already, the PM 45 feels as good to me as a Colt 1873. The thing about the other Sig Forties is they really aren't any smaller than the 226.

That deserves an answer. Because of my well trained violent past, its too late to retrain myself to be slower or rack a slide. I gave the Kahrs up because I'm faster than they are by nature. (truth is I don't let the trigger go foward enough to reset and I probably never will by instinct) If I have an FTF my track record lends itself to beating the subject to death with the weapon. I can perform diagnostic functions when I have to but I'd rather not. The Glock 27 has been a contender though.
I guess the answer boils down to comfort level.

Not sure you that to hear it but a PT-140 would get you close. You'd have to go aftermarket sights but they are much more compact than the glock but have the double striker and not on a super long trigger.

Brother in-law, For the record, I have stopped bad guys in close quarters 100% of the time I'm sure most of the success could be attributed to the grace of God and dumb luck. I have talked with God and He wants me to do my part in the selection of the weapon along with other deterent factors.
I haven't used +P+ because I would be concerned about how the gun would hold up, what say you?
I'm frequently in areas around the United states with large animals and I felt the forty would give me a chance or at least they would find the animal close to my dead body. I carry bear spray as a first line of defense.
I have considerd the PT140 but am unsure of Taurus. I can make a 226 vanish in short pants and a untucked shirt but like everyone else I'm getting lazy and like a pocket carry.

Sig 239 9mm w/124gr +P+ ammo
The XDm's have a shorter reset, but still a larger package.

I've been eyballing that 239 as I believe I'm going to have to compromise on capacity. Anything less than 7 rounds and I'll tote my airweight 357.

I've got a beautiful 239 in .40 I've toyed with trading before. Let me know if you're interested. It's got all the bells and whistles (Crimson Trace, night sights, DM Bullard IWB Holster, two tone, etc.) But hey, you said price was no object right?

Ok, I've examined the 239 side by side my 226 and it isn't that much smaller.
I think Sig could do a lot better in this niche.

So far there is no contender
They do make an 8 round S&W 357 revolver with night sights but it's larger than what I'm lookin fer.
