I've got an Encore Pro Series in 22-250 that is a killer. Most of the yotes I've shot were with my Model 600 Rem in 6mm. A 70 grain hollow point bullet puts them down.

I use a .243. Same gun for preds, pigs, and deer. Most times it's surprisingly nice on fur. When it's not..well..it ain't pretty! LOL. It's a bolt action but I'm considering moving to semi-auto because every so often it would be nice to have a quicker recovery time for multiple targets.

I wouldn't get a bolt gun for predator hunting. get and ar15 in 204 or 223. Bolt gun you limit yourself if you miss, or have numerous animals. Ar you can stay in the scope and take numerous shots at one or multiple targets.

an AR in .223 would be better than .204, if (and or when) the SHTF, the .204 aint gonna do you much good and ammo wont be easy to find in quantities. for me the .22-250 is the best varmint range but even the .17hmr will work.

Weatherby SUB-MOA, .223, shooting Hornady 40 Gr VMAX. Goes in, blows up, doesn't come out.

what brand handguard is on the bottom AR? that thing is awesome. looks like you cant mount a bipod tho can you?

what brand handguard is on the bottom AR? that thing is awesome. looks like you cant mount a bipod tho can you? It's a YHM rifle length FFT. Nope, can't mount a bipod...atleast not very well. The alluminum isn't really strong enough to support a sling swivel. I just use shooting sticks. Chupa
