Gengo I talked with the my training mentor and he said to just keep applying presure until he begins to comply. Late last week my DD would just want to shut down when I would apply pressure while trying to get him to go to end of the table and pick up the elevated dummy. Then when he did pick it up he would not pick it up in the middle and he would hold it very sloppyly from one end or the other. I came home from the meeting and tried again and he would run to the end of the table and grab it in the middle and hold it correctly. Go figure. Another lesson in try,try again until you succeed. Great news man! I think our dogs are e-mailing each other or something because it seemed like Willie was just getting it a little better this weekend. Who knows, but glad to see you are getting some progress. Also, I have been reading about keeping dogs cool from the heat and had a little brainstorm which yall are free to shoot down as a crappy idea: What about using one of them little kiddie pools for FF work? I am talking about puting him at SIT in the pool (only a few inches deep) and FF in there. I have been trying to FF in different places and I thought at some point I need to FF in the water so he knows he has to listen there as well. Crappy idea??

ditto with honker Jake but try your best to make the dog happy with more success than failure. For instance if the dog will take out of your hand but want pick it up. Do 3 or 4 times out of your hand than touch the bumper and trick him into getting it. if your getting a correction every time they will have a very dad attitude. After the dog picking 1 easily move to 2 off the gound, than further and further away from it.
