I’m not typically one to air out dirty laundry, but it helps to get it off my chest.

On Good Friday I arrived home to work to find my wife packed her and the kids things and filed for divorce. Until I experienced it, I never could have imagined the pain involved.

3 weeks later I went to the Dr. due to leg pain, and they discovered a blood clot. I was admitted to the hospital and sat for 14 days. They ended up discharging me even though I knew something was still not right. I made the trek accross Texas to B,S,&W and was admitted again. They discovered up to 20 clots in my lungs and that the thinner I was on reacted with my blood and was causing it to clot rather than thin it. They did a thrombodectomy and removed clots from behind both knees up to the filter I had put in place in the vena cava. That was a magic bullet as I felt night and day difference after the procedure. I’m still trying to recover strength and weight lost during this time. I’m down 40 pounds since Easter.

I guess the moral of the story is don’t take life or loved ones for granted. Things can go south at the blink of an eye. Cherish your wife and kids every moment you get an opportunity.

Also, not a joke, my dog had to be put down while I was hospitalized.

That's a rough hand of cards to play.

Been there, my first "baby mama" up and left with my son, will tear you apart. From experience, focus on being there for your kids, be strong for them. Work on your health. Each of the coming days may be a challenge, but each day is not to be taken for granted, you will make it through it regardless of how dark it may seem!

Prayers to you and your kids. We are not the only ones that loose in a divorce.

Prayers for God's comfort and guidance Brother. You have, indeed, been dealt a hard hand. I too have experienced a wife making that kind of decision for herself, you, and your children while you're away for work. As stated, stay focused on the kids and your health. And...remind me not to go to the hospital in Corpus.

Wow...when it rains it pours. You have ligament reasons to want to vent. Sorry for your troubles.

Sorry to hear about all that. Been there done that on the divorce. Focus on you kids and take the high road with the ex everytime.

If you don't have a good friend or somebody close that's been through it reach out to me or one of these other guys here that has been through it. Can't tell you how many times I picked up the phone and vented rather loudly to a good friend. Helps tremendously plus it helps you keep perspective when things look or get sideways.

Things will get better, just take it one day at a time.

Second half of 2024 will be much better than the first half and then you will be done with it

That is a lot of stressors all at once. Sucks to be you and you may feel your stuck in this moment of hell. I feel for you. I really do. Many of us have fallen and had our own to hell and back times. Stand and go on. Stay positive. Focus on your kids and your health. Even if it gets worse before it gets better. You will get over the hump. IT WILL GET BETTER.

Hang in there!!! every storm eventually passes, no matter how strong and how mean it is, new growth always sprouts.
